All you'd have to do to educate me is give me some bit of evidence or reasoning which shows this is racist, which no one has been able to do. All I get is this prejudicial "I just know it" because she's white and he's apparently something else. I don't think you're being disingenuous, I think you're sincere. It's just amazing that you can't see the racial prejudice you're exhibiting in an attempt to manufacture some racial prejudice. The only evidence against her is her white skin. In the midst of all this BLM madness there have been several videos surfacing of unhinged white women harassing POC, like that woman calling the police on a black woman sitting on a park bench in a wealthy neighborhood, another woman screaming at a Native American woman to leave the country, another woman spewing violent threats at an Asian woman “suspiciously” working out at a park in all black, then later that day launching a series of racial remarks at another Asian person in a parking lot. In the past there was “Permit Patty” and “BBQ Becky” and the Starbucks manager who decided that a black man waiting for a guest was too criminal for his taste, or that Oakland man who called the cops on a black firefighter doing his job, or more recently, Ahmaud Arbery.

It’s not that Lisa is “just white”, it’s that there is an obvious privilege she felt like she had the right to exercise, which stems in large part from her race. You will rarely see people of color playing neighborhood watch on white people. I think you’re sincere too, but it’s amazing that you do not see the power imbalance in this situation. A white couple approaches a Filipino man writing “BLM” on his home, starts filming him, and then condescendingly questions his belonging.

Anyway the Karen concept is about attitude, is racially neutral, and can even apply to a man. But I'm not surprised you want to weaponize it against white people only. Yeah, personally that's a pet peeve of mine. The "News" forum is often rife with little non-news stories. Right now there's a thread about a lady crying over a sandwich or something. Maybe they should create a separate sub-forum. Maybe call it Worthless Internet Flotsam And Jetsam Which Is Of No Importance To Anyone But Allows Us To Virtue Signal And Express Some Self-Righteous Indignation.

The simple answer to the reason why this is considered "news" is because it is beneficial to an agenda that is being pushed. In this case, the agenda of the journalist is to encourage sympathy for the BLM movement by painting a picture that white people are racist. Given that the op is a BLM activist, it is understandable that she would share this article on a forum so more people would be sympathetic to her cause. Unfortunately, I believe Democrat politicians are encouraging these racial divisions for political reasons. It is sad because so many people are expecting tangible improvements for the black community only to find that the BLM movement will be kicked to the curb the day after the 2020 election because the Democratic party will have no further use of them. The same reason why the George Floyd/Trayvon Martin thing fizzled out.

I didn't make up "Karen", I'm just explaining how it's used. You are displaying your own prejudices by painting Juanillo as argumentative. Lisa and husband can exercise their privilege by questioning and recording Juanillo, but Juanillo can't exercise his privilege by questioning and recording Lisa and husband EVEN THOUGH the entire interaction began with Lisa and husband approaching Juanillo. You asked for an explanation. Don't be mad because a POC outsmarted two white people.
