I find it strange that some give the answer of getting married to take care of a problem with lust. Marriage isn't going to take that away.

Just because one does not struggle with lust temptations is not a reason to stay single. Just because one does struggle with lust temptations is not a reason to marry.

.

I don't understand that either. Paul said if they couldn't control themselves they should get married. Wasn't he just talking about couples that were already seeing each other? Otherwise it makes no sense. Better not take a lust problem into a marriage.

I personally have thought on resorting to chemical means of castration. And I'm not sure it would do more good than harm in the end.

I wanted to have that done (don't even know if that is possible with women) when I was married and my ex didn't want anything for 3 years, but
kicking out a demon worked better.
God just set me free. I couldn't care less if I'd stay single the rest of my life.

I have the opposite issue actually. The longer I go "without using it" the worse and more strong the urges become. I've gone on little abstinence stints where I would make it a few weeks or so but then the pressure was just unbearable. I don't know if my age has something to do with it, but I'm 26.

Its the opposite for me too. The urge builds up.

Do you think it would be wrong for a Christian to use a drug or remove body parts to eliminate desire?

Those desires were God given in the first place. So yes it is wrong.

This is the same question as "I already believe heavily in Jesus so I am going to heaven when I die. Should I kill myself now to stop sinning?"

Of course not! God has a purpose for you on earth. Yes being alive means you will sin. But you can also be doing a lot of good things for God.

The whole point of forgiveness is God no longer punish us for any of our sins. So no God doesn't want you to take drugs or cut something off. And no God doesn't want you to hurt yourself.

It's not really a lust problem for me. It's a "your body wants you to have sex" problem. I don't really lust after tons of women really. In fact when I had my one girlfriend, I didn't find it that hard to not look for other women.

It's more about the intense urges and sensations, less about a wandering heart.

If you are otherwise healthy I know of no way to safely "turn-off" your urges without side effects or other problems. There is no magic pill yet. I am sure there will be in the future.
