Since we are now in the Easter season, many are talking about how they observe the feasts. Has anyone here realized, that unless you slaughter a lamb for Pesach, you are not fulfilling the feast according to specific scriptural mandates? I am not sure why many believe that they are celebrating Pesach by just having a meal together. It is only half of the prescribed process. Now I am not encouraging anyone to slaughter a lamb, so don't get any ideas. It is also the same with Yom Kippur, so when people say that they celebrate the feasts, outside of a traditional family get together, what does it really mean? If the Almighty's standard is perfection, then what is really achieved?

The reason why I asked, is because I had one person tell me that they slaughter a lamb every Pesach, and claimed to be a believer.
Well, unless the Temple was rebuilt while we weren't looking...

My best friend does that...he is definetly a believer......and definetly a nut. He considers himself a Kairite messianic.

But regarding the observance of Pesach, Yeshua did say "Do this in remembrance of Me" and He wasn't talking about having crackers in church every other Sunday.;)

So, is animal sacrifice acceptable?

Please explain HaShems's way. If you would, please site NT scripture as well as the Hebrew Scriptures.

Jews do not sacrifice animals anymore because the Temple is no longer on the earth.

Since the Temple was destroyed and G-d said that animal sacifices were no longer applicable because the Temple had been destroyed so we cant sacrifice a Lamb anymore. The Torah specifically commands us not to offer sacrifices wherever we feel like it; we are only permitted to offer sacrifices in the place that G-d has chosen for that purpose. Deut. 12:13-14. It would be a sin to offer sacrifices in any other place other than the Temple.

Anyways since we can't do sacrificeas we place a burnt egg and a roasted bone (usually the neck of a chicken) on our Seder plate as a symbol for the sacrifice.

The egg represents the festive sacrifice which was offered on the three pilgrim festivals, Passover, Shavuot and Succoth. The bone represents the special Passover offering, and is usually roasted over an open flame as the original sacrifice was.

I guess you can say I dont really observe the Passover because I dont eat meat..lol. I am a Vegetarian. I do celebrate it with my family and celebrate it for that whole week...I just dont eat the roasted bone and the meat portion of the meal.

I was over at my friends house today and asked him about this.

He said that he does the Passover the way it was commanded to the mixed multitude before the Law was given to Israel at Sinai.

He has a bunch of people over and slaughters a Lamb, drains the blood, put some of the blood on the doorposts of his house, then roasts it and everyone eats it before morning.

He says it has nothing to do with salvation.

Blood of A LAMB on the doorpost. hmmmmm. That was done for protection. I prefer the protection of the blood of The Lamb. My next question would be, why bother?

Celebrating the Feasts

Child of the Most High you are right you, are at the Aster-Easter season. However your Aster season is about a month off this year from when Yeshua would have held his Passover Sader. Nisan 14 On the Gregorian calendar would be April 23. If it were 2000 years ago Yeshua would not be holding his Passover Sader in the month of Adar [March]. Remember this on Aster morning this year.

Has anyone here realized, that unless you slaughter a lamb for Pesach, you are not fulfilling the feast according to specific scriptural mandates

I believe Yod answered this question.

"Yeshua did say "Do this in remembrance of Me" and He wasn't talking about having crackers in church every other Sunday"

Please explain HaShems's way. If you would, please site NT scripture as well as the Hebrew Scriptures.

The “Hebrew Scriptures” include the “NT” for us. MJ!

I prefer the protection of the blood of The Lamb.

No one here would disagree with this.

My next question would be, why bother?

You won’t, bother. Because you will be bothering with Aster the goddess of spring who’s birth was early on sun-day morning with , Easter egg,. & egg-laying rabbit,. And you will be doing it a month befor G-d’s season -(the word seasons in Hebrew is Moedim=appointed holidays) In this case Passover. And you will do this even when
G-d said not to. Deu 12: 31
“ You must not worship the LORD your God in their way,”(The word “way” means “Customary manner,or habit”. Dictionary)

We [MJ} “bother” because like Yesha said "Do this in remembrance of Me"
Do what? Do G-d’s Passover!.
SO! On Nisan 14 we MJ will be Celebrating Yeshua death and reassertion in the Passover Sader.

Actually Echad, I and many others are celebrating the L-rD's Passover in two days, according to his timetable of the land proclaiming the beginning of the year, not a prefabricated pre-determined ancient calendar. I personally think he would have been having the Seder at just this time since he is the creator of the world.
