  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

the only artists i don't have out of all these are whitcross, al denson, becca jackson and john cox.buuut... i saw no kutless?!! And lifehouse (somewhat christian) and as for the tooth and nail artist fans, gotta have tooth and nail's 10 anniversary collection. (it's like 6 cds)
yeah, third day ( except wire....personal opinion, and the live wire)
skillet (i'm a big fan but i think the essentials are invincible, alien youth, and collide)
and if you are a skillet fan, then you have to have their unplugged invasion dvd)
and if you're from colorado, Gotta have foolish things and three cord wonder. (and john waller!!...he wrote "i choose you" that point of grace sings)
'k i think i covered some of them, but i'm gettin bored. guess i'll head over to the secular music section

Major kudos for The Fires of Life. The entire album is a great piece of work; Friendly Jas is my favorite song.

mine's "cinematic"

i don't know what it is, but i really just don't enjoy the song "cinematic." i feel like i ought to, because other people seem to like it so much, but it always just feels overdone to me. i think my favorite off that album might be the title song, actually.

Wow, tough question to keep within a reasonable limit. Excluding secular CDs and instrumental CDs (which can be neither secular or cCm), here's a list off the top of my head.

Phil Keaggy - Crimson & Blue (or almost any other CD with his name on it, depending on your musical tastes)
Glass Harp - Strings Attached
Neal Morse - One
Petra - Captured In Time & Space
U2 - The Joshua Tree
Andrew Peterson - Carried Along
Rich Mullins - (take your pick)
White Heart - Highlands
This Train - Mimes Of the Old West
Mark Heard - (again, take your pick)

And CaDan's picks are legendary....
