Am I wasting my time seeking God? I am a nonpracticing homosexual. I believe in scripture that calls sin by what it is. I hate my sin. I struggle with lust, but I do not act on my lusts. Pastor Steven Anderson does not believe gays can be saved. This is sad. But I will continue pray for his mercy. But I wonder if I am wasting my time.
Regardless of what ANY one tells you, NO one, and I mean NO one (with one exception), goes to hell because of sinful deeds they commit. That notion is one of the biggest satan-led lies ever fomented and/or espoused. For if ANY one would go to hell for sinning; regardless of how abominable it may be (with only ONE exception); then we ALL will go to hell. You can take this to the bank dear person. And your check will NOT bounce either.
Follow along:
Mark 3:28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: Mark 3:29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.
Read those verses again and notice Jesus used the word ALL. In verse 28 he gave NO exceptions. However that verse does NOT end with a period. That means there may be one or more exceptions. And there is ONE and ONLY one given and it is given in verse 29.
This means that on judgment day; EVERY person EVER conceived, WILL be given a 100% pardon for EVERY sin they have EVER committed; with ONE lone exception. And that exception is titled:
"Blaspheming against the Holy Ghost (Spirit)"
The problem is that few, if any, really KNOW(s) what that particular blasphemy entails. IE: there are myriads of ways to blaspheme God:
1. Using His name in vain. Remember "OH MY GOD" used in every day colloquialism speech, IS also taking His name in vain. So is "OH GOD" or just "GOD"; unless it is spoken in sincere reverence for Jesus (God manifest IN the flesh-1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was "manifest in the flesh", justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.)
2. Saying that Jesus was "only a prophet" as all true muslims do.
3. Saying that Jesus was NOT the Messiah as all of those who call themselves "jews" do.
4. Saying Jesus was not God.
5. Questioning ANY thing that Jesus does or says.
6. Saying there is "NO God"!
Etc, etc, and etc.
But..............there is one blasphemy that will NEVER be forgiven. EVER! It is titled above. So what is that single blasphemy that will NEVER be forgiven; and it sends ANY one to hell who committed it?
It is quite simple. For it s the ONLY sin ANY person can commit that only happens the moment they die. IE: Since we can be saved up to our dying breath (millions have been saved a moment before they died); no one can commit that sin IF they surrender to Jesus before they die at any age. Consider the thief on a cross that got saved. But.............IF a person dies (like the other one did) and they have not surrendered to Jesus; they WILL go to hell; because they have lost the chance forever the moment they die.
IN a word, "blaspheming against the Holy Spirit", is the ONLY sin that any one could ever commit that they have to die, for it to be a sin; since Jesus gives EVERY one until their dying breath to get saved. OH indeed yes. And Praise His Holy Name.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him will not perish, but have everlasting life. (He gave on exceptions)
Note the absolute word "everlasting" and the word "whosoever".
So you are NOT going to hell for committing an abominable sin dear person.
Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. Romans 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: Romans 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
But NO one will got to hell for engaging in homosexuality. Nor will anyone go to hell for ANY sin; EXCEPT the unforgivable sin explained above. Read Mark 3:28 and 29 again. Jesus did NOT lie! Disciples often did. Oh indeed yes.
Finally, and also; do not pay ANY attention to any one that tells you that homosexuality is a "learned" trait, UNLESS a person is just "copycatting" (there are a few of them). For a true homosexual IS born that way. Only a blind fool would not know that. But so is lying and stealing and coveting and gossiping and murdering (even in one's heart). Etc, and etc!
But like ALL other sinful desires, Jesus CAN and WILL remove the desire, but He alone can do that. NO person can do that on their own; because satan is too powerful for us. But Jesus can and has and will. We must ask Him however.
So what is the punishment for sin? ALL sins of the flesh are punished 7 fold while IN the flesh. The only spiritual sin we can commit (above) WILL send us to hell. THAT is what Jesus died for. For ALL other sins He paid for IN FULL.
So you are being punished for your abominable sins every time you commit homosexual acts 7 fold; UNLESS you flaunt it like MOST homo's do now; then you will be punished 70 fold! No "If's, No "And's" and No "But's".
Leviticus 26:28 Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise (punish) you seven times for your sins.
Note: I am NOT a homosexual; nor have I had ANY desires to engage in it. But I have a sin just as bad. I was born a "luster" for women. I am not bragging; just stating a terrible fact. I am going on 85 and it has cost me horrible punishments and pain untold, handed down EVERY time I do it.
I know this and begged Jesus to remove that horrible sinful "desire". And how He has helped me. Today I have VERY little; if any desire, to lust for a woman. Note: my mother was a born liar. Billions are also. This goes for almost every sin known. It comes out of the womb. Oh indeed it does.
The SAME can happen to you dear person. Try it! He CAN and WILL remove that demon in you. Promise. Sincerely believe IN Him and ask Him. It will happen. And remember..................
Numbers 14:18 The LORD is long-suffering, and of great mercy, forgiving* iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.
* The actual pardon for our sins occur on judgment day; even though Jesus paid the entire cost on the cross and IN the tomb. It took me over 75 yrs to understand and "see" this. Oh indeed yes. Pray about it.
