Which goes completely contrary to what the Bible tells us:
2 Corinthians 4:4
New International Version
The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
2 Corinthians 2:11
in order that Satan should not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.
The sin Nature is our fallen nature. IF the wages of sin is death, then why is lucifer still alive?
its sense if he is devil evil things is in him and which is against God ..see post 71792350: Some say that Isaiah 14:12 is about the "devil". Now the context of the verse and a bit of knowlege of History rebveils that this is about the Babylonian empire. Reading verse 4 it becomes clear that this is the king of Babylon and his nation being spoken of here. While this mythological information is available today vis translated Babylonian cuneiform text taken from clay tablets, it was not as readiy available at the time of the Latin translation of the Bible. Thus early Christian tradition interpreted it as a reference to the moment Satan was thrown from heaven. Lucifer became another name for Satan and has remained so due to Christian dogma and popular tradition. The idea that there could possibly be anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered overly polythestic, you are setting the devil up to be a god or demigod.[/U][/B][www.wiki.com]
bad onesWho is this beast? Revelation 19:19-20 the Kings of the Earth and their armies
I think some of them are locked away, as Peter saysSo they have been on death row now for approx. 6000 years. Weird death-row that allows them to harass and possess humans. When we humans place a criminal on death row we tend to lock him up so that he can't harm innocent people in the interim. Ummm, how exactly does that arrangement jive with justice?
2 Peter 2:4
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to Sheol, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment
Sorry but I stilI fail to see the justice in allowing spirit creatures to harass helpless humans. I wouldn't allow one animal to abuse a weaker animal because it is morally repulsive to me. So I expect the same from anyone who would dictate to me what is morally right or wrong. Otherwise the entity has no business telling me what to do.I think some of them are locked away, as Peter says
I think the ones who are in Sheol in chains are not the same as the unclean spirits that still roam around the earth today. Unclean spirits are still on the earth - but there are angels that sinned that got locked up until judgement day.
Hi Oz, Biblically, God predestines to everlasting 'life' only. The excerpt from the WCC that you've given us above doesn't appear to go beyond that (by saying something about Divine predestination that the Bible does not). Divine predestination and Divine foreordination are not the same thing.
Yours and His,
David

i just go by what the scriptures say. Some things aren't exactly clear, but I know one thing, and that's unclean spirits exist and torment and possess people. Sure, it's not a fun fact, but it is what it is. Death ain't fun either, but it happens. Many things in this life aren't "fair".Sorry but I stilI fail to see the justice in allowing spirit creatures to harass helpless humans. James 1:6-8 is the faithful way to think. Demons do not exist, period. Dualism in the Christian age (Oriental dualism) had a great charm for the imagination for even the primitive Christian mind; and it seemed to form a certain kind of natural and easy alliance with the doctrines of good and evil. It has also revealed itself, more or less, in various sects and systems in every periond of Christian history, and its false theories have often troubled the mind of the Church in the development and statement of its dogmas. (Neander, Hist. of the Chr. Church, Bohn's ed. ii, 14).In theology, Dualism explains evil by assuming two original primal principles or beings, one good, the other evil, instead of one (Monism). It was developed later in Manicheism and among Sclavonians, who during the interval between their undisturbed faith and their national mythology and their conversion to Christianity, added to the worship of the good being; that of a supremely evil one and from the sense of personal sin, which seeks relief in a transfer of guilt from the real self, to something outside of him.. (the Black God) (London Review, April 1855, p. 11)i just go by what the scriptures say. Yes.
The fallen / rebellious gods have become mortal like man too.NO only God has immortality.
You mean they are all dead! The fallen / rebellious gods have become mortal like man too.
No, it is MEN, just as it says. Angels are spiritual beings and there cannot lose that which has already been given to them. Immortal means never being able to die forever.God alone is the source of immortality, but that doesn't mean that he hasn't created other immortal beings/angels
Psalm 82 says "you are gods, but will die like men". This is obviously not about humans because you would not tell a human, which die, that "you will die like men". Some of the angels lost their immortality, which came from God.
They will be, since it appears they are not repentant. You mean they are all dead!
Apparently God decided otherwise. No, it is MEN, just as it says. Angels are spiritual beings and there cannot lose that which has already been given to them.
