this is basically saying that we are all shut up under sin without christ

and ultimately without him we are SCREWED

but we still have to follow christ to receive the gift

Before you can follow Christ, you have to be impacted by God's grace, and thus be part of the elect, before your will can be inclined to follow him. God's grace transforms the wills of the elect to enable them to choose follow him.

ultimately we choose whether we align ourselves with the flesh or the spirit

our choice lies in the middle regardless of nature

Adam and Eve proved this and Sinners today prove it as well

if we were so locked in our nature then surely Adam and Eve created in the image of god without not even a hint of sin in their blood would never have given into temptation

and they repented afterwards which is proof that they did something completely outside of their given nature

And Enoch went and said: 'Azâzêl, thou shalt have no peace: a severe sentence has gone forth 2
against thee to put thee in bonds: And thou shalt not have toleration nor request granted to thee, because of the unrighteousness which thou hast taught, and because of all the works of godlessness 3
and unrighteousness and sin which thou hast shown to men.' Then I went and spoke to them all 4
together, and they were all afraid, and fear and trembling seized them. And they besought me to draw up a petition for them that they might find forgiveness, and to read their petition in the presence 5
of the Lord of heaven. For from thenceforward they could not speak (with Him) nor lift up their 6
eyes to heaven for shame of their sins for which they had been condemned. Then I wrote out their petition, and the prayer in regard to their spirits and their deeds individually and in regard to their 7
requests that they should have forgiveness and length

this to me shows freewill that goes COMPLETELY against both spiritual and physical nature

they were not even capable of repenting and yet saught it

It is not a matter of losing our free will, but rather the simple fact that within our free will we cannot and will not ever be saved. This is why the calling of God is impossible to say no to (irresistable grace).

2 Esdras

[76] He answered me and said, "I will show you that also, but do not be associated with those who have shown scorn, nor number yourself among those who are tormented.
[77] For you have a treasure of works laid up with the Most High; but it will not be shown to you until the last times.
[78] Now, concerning death, the teaching is: When the decisive decree has gone forth from the Most High that a man shall die, as the spirit leaves the body to return again to him who gave it, first of all it adores the glory of the Most High.
[79] And if it is one of those who have shown scorn and have not kept the way of the Most High, and who have despised his law, and who have hated those who fear God --
[80] such spirits shall not enter into habitations, but shall immediately wander about in torments, ever grieving and sad, in seven ways.
[81] The first way, because they have scorned the law of the Most High.
[
82] The second way, because they cannot now make a good repentance that they may live.
[83] The third way, they shall see the reward laid up for those who have trusted the covenants of the Most High.
[84] The fourth way, they shall consider the torment laid up for themselves in the last days.
[85] The fifth way, they shall see how the habitations of the others are guarded by angels in profound quiet.
[86] The sixth way, they shall see how some of them will pass over into torments.
[87] The seventh way, which is worse than all the ways that have been mentioned, because they shall utterly waste away in confusion and be consumed with shame, and shall wither with fear at seeing the glory of the Most High before whom they sinned while they were alive, and before whom they are to be judged in the last times.

if it was based solely on an inherent will, they would not desire repentance even when in hell

actually, I don't agree

we are saved based on our acceptance of gods help

I often wonder how god could ever transform me into something incapable of sin

and also have felt on multiple occasions that I was impossible

but I kept fighting for what was right, for what I knew was true and would eventually release me from bondage

don't get me wrong...its not based on my own efforts but in my trust in god to help me and fix me

and he is...I'm getting control of myself slowly in a way I never would have imagined possible

I am VERY susceptible to temptation(its so cunning) but I'm slowly figuring it out more and more and I think I'm making some ground

but I promise you I am putting great effort on my own part to do this:

2 Esdras

[88] "Now this is the order of those who have kept the ways of the Most High, when they shall be separated from their mortal body. [89] During the time that they lived in it, they laboriously served the Most High, and withstood danger every hour, that they might keep the law of the Lawgiver perfectly.
[90] Therefore this is the teaching concerning them:
[91] First of all, they shall see with great joy the glory of him who receives them, for they shall have rest in seven orders.
[92] The first order, because they have striven with great effort to overcome the evil thought which was formed with them, that it might not lead them astray from life into death.
[93] The second order, because they see the perplexity in which the souls of the ungodly wander, and the punishment that awaits them.
[94] The third order, they see the witness which he who formed them bears concerning them, that while they were alive they kept the law which was given them in trust.
[95] The fourth order, they understand the rest which they now enjoy, being gathered into their chambers and guarded by angels in profound quiet, and the glory which awaits them in the last days.
[96] The fifth order, they rejoice that they have now escaped what is corruptible, and shall inherit what is to come; and besides they see the straits and toil from which they have been delivered, and the spacious liberty which they are to receive and enjoy in immortality.
[97] The sixth order, when it is shown to them how their face is to shine like the sun, and how they are to be made like the light of the stars, being incorruptible from then on.
[98] The seventh order, which is greater than all that have been mentioned, because they shall rejoice with boldness, and shall be confident without confusion, and shall be glad without fear, for they hasten to behold the face of him whom they served in life and from whom they are to receive their reward when glorified.
[99] This is the order of the souls of the righteous, as henceforth is announced; and the aforesaid are the ways of torment which those who would not give heed shall suffer hereafter."

This has nothing to do with salvation.

This has to do with our situation in life while on earth.
Well if one does not have His mercy here on earth then what makes some think His mercy will be given anywhere else since we begin our life with Him here on earth? For if one does not have His mercy on earth how can one know Christ?

thats my main problem with calvinism

it gives people an excuse to say " god made me a sinner so its his fault, I'm gonna hate him and sin and thats just how he made me"

and thats rubbish

but if you do fall into that lie god already knew you would and decided to go ahead with creation despite that fact...but its still up to your decisions which are worked into gods design
 People do not need excuses. Predestination does not give men the excuse. Sin does. LOL Many a man blames God for the way they are when in truth it is sin that makes the man the way they are.

Adam and Eve were the only ones with true free will because their natures were not fallen. They, alone, who walked and talked with God, could make unadulterated choices. But you see what happens with "free will". All your choices will be directed "you"-wards. You (me/anyone), being fallen, couldn't possibly make a God choice unless He stepped in and did it for you.

Many people are born into terrible circumstances on earth. Someone is destined to clean toilets for their entire life.

This does not change God's love for us and his desire that we accept his gift of grace.

Esau went on to have a good life and apparently he was a man of God. He forgave his brother for cheating him and treated him with love.

Jesus reunited man with God.

Now we can accept or reject his gift of grace.

Jesus paid for our sins (payable on receipt of the gift of the Holy Spirit). That does nothing to affect our nature because it isn't a thing that changes us. God stepping in and changing our will so it coincides with His will is what changes us and then (and only then) can we make choices out of a new nature.

Jesus reunited man with God.

You keep saying this, but what do you mean by it? It, in and of itself, has no meaning.
