  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I agree God knows exactly. But He can't judge babies from what would have happened in the future if they grew up. Maybe you didn't mean that, misunderstanding on my part then, sorry. Heard that argument.
God controls every thought and every choice of every person.

All men are commanded to repent and believe the gospel. It is not an option.

I'm sorry, but that isn't true. God does not force us to follow Him. He gives us a choice. Follow Him or not.

Jesus said in John 14:15: "If you love me, you will keep my commandments." We who profess saving faith show that we truly love God when we strive to obey his law. While no man has the right to bind your conscience, the Word of God does have that right and it plainly states, "You shall not murder" (Ex. 20:13). Furthermore, the Word tells us that loving God and neighbor are inseparably linked.

“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” - Matt. 22:36-40 (ESV)

Complicity or indifference to acts of evil on grounds of "choice" is an unloving response to the sin we are called to hate and fails to demonstrate love for God and neighbor. I pray that these words, spoken in love, even if they sting, will urge you to rethink the basis of your position and move you toward a Biblical foundation for justice. :)

They have not, because I will not force my views on others. It just will not happen.

That’s like saying you got the flu, but not the virus. You can’t inherit one w/o the other.

We are held accountable for our sins not the sins of others. Only Adam and Eve ate from the tree of knowledge.

Acts of the Apostles 17:30

Right, God commands all men everywhere to repent, but we know not all men will repent. Thus, the will of God is being thwarted by man's wrong choice. It is never in God's will that any man should sin.

Let’s let the Bible have the final say, okay?

Then Samuel said to Saul, “The Lord sent me to anoint you as king over His people, over Israel; now therefore, listen to the words of the Lord. Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘I will punish Amalek for what he did to Israel, how he set himself against him on the way while he was coming up from Egypt. Now go and strike Amalek and utterly destroy all that he has, and do not spare him; but put to death both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’”[1 Samuel 15:1-3]

God has instructed Saul, through Samuel, to completely destroy the Amalekites, even kids and infants. Only a cruel God would command the death of innocent life.

That all depends on how He judges those children. Death is nothing more than moving a person from one place to another. It’s not the worst thing that can happen to someone. Just because God had Amlek’s children killed doesn’t mean they will be condemned to hell. It just means He ended that bloodline.

No one has represented Adam. He was the federal head(representative) of all mankind(his posterity). He represented us. When he sinned, we sinned, being in him. It was as if we were there eating of that tree ourselves.

No that’s just a faulty interpretation of what the scriptures actually say. God punishes those for their deeds not the deeds of others as I have already proven in Ezekiel 18:19-20.

Ok neither of those say anything about all being guilty of Adam’s sin.
