simply because his mother never called him that, and the apostles never called him that. so no one who knew him back then ever called him that. then there's the issue of the angel that said exactly what his name should be, and he didnt say Jesus.
Congratulations, you completely missed the point of my last post.

Well I dont consider it silly and neither do a lot of jews.
What does that mean? Because Jews call Jesus "Yeshua" we should? How is that not irrational?

also, it is in common usage, just search the internet for Yeshua.
You do realize that a few hundred thousand hits on the name "Yeshua" on the Internet are about as worthless as evidence that Jesus Christ should be called "Yeshua" as a few hundred thousand hits on "Juan" mean my name is "Juan," right? It's utterly irrelevant. Evenmore, how many of those hits pertain specifically to Christ being called Yeshua? And how would you know that without checking every one? Your argument couldn't be weaker.

Also, people often say "Jesus Christ" as an expression of anger, but typically no one curses saying "Yeshua Christ".
Yeah, that's great. We should stop saying "Jesus Christ" because people use it as a swear word. In that case, we ought to just stop using the word "God" because people swear with that one with greater frequency than the former. Do you even read these things before you post them? You sound like a little child throwing a temper-tantrum rattling off every little excuse he can think of.

And lastly, there is the foreshadowing in Deuteronomy:
Deu 31:23-24 And he gave Joshua the son of Nun a charge, and said, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou shalt bring the children of Israel into the land which I sware unto them: and I will be with thee. (24) And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,
After Moses came Joshua (Yeshua), yet another shadow of the coming new covanent in Christ's blood.
The name Yeshua is all over the old testament, but not Jesus.
You've heard of the Septuagint, right? You know Jesus quoted from the Septuagint, right? You know that Jesus's name in the Septuagint is "Iesous," right? You know that this is the name the apostles used, right? Again, your argument falls apart. And again, you completely miss the point of my argument, which is, a name in one language can be the same in another, yet be pronounced differently. Your failure to understand this basic truth concerning language is where your difficulty and your error concerning the usage of Jesus's name comes from.
In any case, I'm very done arguing with you on this. It's a foolish subject to discuss without a doubt.
Soli Deo Gloria
