He was Sola Scriptura long before Luther and would have considered Martin Luther inconsistent and serving two masters. If you want to go for real Sola Scriptura, YEC and geocentrism simply don't cut it. The church's compromise with extrabiblical science began long before Copernicus.

In no way does the verse carry any flat earth connotations. It seems to me that you want to add to what the verse actually says. The heavens are stretched out as a tent. There is no better Hebrew word than chuwg to describe roundness.

Oof. I just submitted a ticket about this. It looks like the underlying forum system changed the way links work somewhere along the way and broke all of the internal linkage. Since it seems many of the links were migrated somehow, hopefully these can also be converted to the new methodology.
