• CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Can someone tell me, Eve gave birth to Cain and Abel, but where did Cain's wife come from and did Eve bare more offspring?

I believe they had other children than Cain and Abel and Cain eventually married his sister. I read somewhere that "incest" was allowable in the Old Testament because Adam and Eve were made almost perfect without any genetic mutations it was only when sin made our body become more and more tainted with more probable genetic mutations that incest was deemed a sin. Because at the time of the New Testament there were more than enough people to marry other than your close relatives.

I'm also new to studying the Bible and this is just an answer I found on the internet because I was asking the same thing so I'll be checking in to see the other answers posted.

Yes, it is generally accepted that Cain married his sister. One can verify this on responsible internet ministry such as wikipedia.

I think it is important for new Christians to not get into the habit of seeking all answers on a Forum. They should do like many of us older ones have done, and read the ministry of esteemed and Godly Bible teachers that have been verified down through history; and, search and compare scripture with scripture; and ask of God. This is just a bit of counsel for the good of new saints of God.

There's a chronology-geneology here:Genesis 5 - NAS - with Study Resources - Study DeskGen 4:25 Adam had relations with his wife again; and she gave birth to a son, and named him Seth

In Genesis 4:17, Cain built a town. It would be strange to do much building without any other people around besides his parents and wife.

Yes, I know it can be frustrating if you don't have a place that you usually look things up. Studylight is such a great resource. Also Biblegateway.com

The word of God tells us that Adam and Eve lived for hundreds of years.
Great-great-great-great-great-grandchildren. (And so it was good.)
