  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Whatever the Book of Enoch says, it is not part of God's inspired and inerrant word. Some in the early church may have adhered to the book of Enoch, but to do so they would have needed to add to what the Old Testament already included.
I have heard scholars, priests, exorcists etc talk about how it could serve as a guiding tool and how at least some chapters "are okay". (not the ones going in details about other things) surely everything has to be seen in light of the word. guaranteed.

My humble apologies if my thesis is inaccurate but I was listening to The Book of Enoch again last week and a rather sobering and kind of scary idea hit me again.

This isn't the first time that I have confronted this idea because I actually read "The Book of Enoch" back during the 1990's after I separated from The Worldwide Church of God that had Pastor General Herbert W. Armstrong as our C. E. O..

Assuming at least partial validity to The Book of Enoch and The Book of Adam and Eve, t seems to me that somehow "Watchers" managed to have children with the granddaughters of Cain and his twin sister Luluwa. Cain was supposed to have married Aklia the twin sister of Abel according to "The Book of Adam and Eve" but twins can become deeply attached to each other plus..... Luluwa was even more beautiful than her mother Eve and significantly more beautiful than her sister Aklia.

The Book of Enoch:

I do NOT claim to understand exactly how these Watchers managed to have children with the daughters of men because Jesus did state that full fledged "angels" do not marry and have wives and children. Perhaps the answer is in genetic engineering? I am not certain but no matter what the answer is if we read the Book of Enoch and The Book of Adam and Eve, we will get the impression that there are leaders of the demons of hell who are partly descended from Adam and Eve and their children Cain and Luluwa.

When we have humans with more capability even that Dr. Albert Einstein who live for many centuries technology on the earth will tend to increase rapidly much as is happening now in 2025.

Book of Jasher chapter four:
Book of Jasher, Chapter 4 | Sacred Texts Archive

Please note that the word translated "forever" in English has very different possible meaning in the original Hebrew. It actually means "until the end of conditions last."

The "restitution of all things" when it is finally actually understood may alter how we view the wording in the Book of Enoch and in The Book of Adam and Eve
The Book of Enoch is not so straight-forward.

It also mirrors interstellar / galactic events involving heavenly bodies = stars, planets, even whole galaxies told through a humanized perspective.

It also said that Adam isn't originally "humanoid" but something resembling a heavenly body like proto-star or a dwarf star.

The early chapters of Genesis is also filled with such parallels implicating the Garden of Eden is the whole Universe itself.

The book of Enoch also implicated the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge are two distinct galaxies with the Tree of Knowledge being our home galaxy which is also referred to as the "World Tree" in Norse Mythology.

Read deeper into the scriptures and you'll see there are interstellar, intergalactic interplays involving the history of heavenly bodies tying well with modern astronomy.

Sorry, but where do the early chapters of Genesis imply that the Garden of Eden is the whole Universe itself? Here are all the Genesis verses that include mention of Eden:

Ge 2:8 The LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed.
Ge 2:10 Now a river went out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it parted and became four riverheads.
Ge 2:15 Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.
Ge 3:23 therefore the LORD God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken.
Ge 3:24 So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.
Ge 4:16 Then Cain went out from the presence of the LORD and dwelt in the land of Nod on the east of Eden.

Genesis 3:24 says that God drove Adam out of Eden, so if Eden were the whole universe, where did He drive Adam to?

Non canon scriptures acknowledge the different levels of reality. Location isn't always as simple as getting from A to B in a straight line.

In the Book of Enoch, Adam was originally a non-human entity but a celestial body similar to a star.

His sin cast him down to a "lower state of existence", away from the realm of the stars and confined in a mortal human body.

He's still within Eden physically but could no longer reach the high realm of the stars after he was driven out of it.

But in the part of your post to which I was replying, you wrote about the early chapters of Genesis: "The early chapters of Genesis is also filled with such parallels implicating the Garden of Eden is the whole Universe itself." Not non-canonical books like Enoch.

Adam saw their nakedness can implicate physical transformation. If the Garden of Eden is here on Earth, we would have found it by now. It wasn't destroyed nor covered in anything. It just wasn't here on this planet in the first place.

Their nakedness doesn't seem to imply physical transformation. If it did, how would God's provision of clothing made of animal skins do anything to remedy the situation?

“Also for Adam and his wife the LORD God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.” (Ge 3:21 NKJV)

You say that Eden wasn't destroyed, and suggest that if it had been on earth, we would have found it. What about the flood of Noah's day?
