  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This happened last year.
My daughters were playing in the yard. They were sprayed down with bug repellant.

My youngest daughter came inside and pulled her hamster out of the cage.
My wife ran over and took it from her. And quickly washed it. But the hamster
had already started washing itself.

It died within the hour. It was healthy prior to being handled. We had had the hamster for 3-4 months.

We called the company and informed them of this. And they said this product was tested to check for this. And had not had any fatal reaction.

The product was extra strength with Zeet.
Try not to let children play with small animals with insect repellent on.

I am severely ill from being exposed to a common propellant product people use daily. Anything made-made should be treated with utter caution. Trust me on that. Why not just keep the kids inside during time insects are most active, ie - night.

After learning that small animals died from this we don't use chemical repellents
anymore. How good can it be for humans if a certain percentage of rodents are killed?

We use the home remedies. During the day in the woods.
If absolutely necessary we use "regular strength Off".("Extra Strength off" was what killed the hamster.)
