Well with the opposition refusing an early election, and Boris pledging not to obey the law passed by parliament, will he resign, call a vote of no confidence in himself, or hope to get the opposition to call a vote of no confidence.

Boris Johnson 'could be jailed for refusing to seek Brexit delay'I was at an anti Brexit March in Germany today. We discussed this and other stuff. There are a great many delaying tactics being employed. The PM could refuse to follow the parliamentary vote to ask for another extension by simply refusing to ask the EU for that extension or persuading just one EU state to veto it. This would mean Brexit happens by default. Since this defies parliamentary sovereignty ( which he claims was handed to the people for this issue) parliament is surely obliged to declare a state of no confidence in the government and call an election.
It seems to me stupid to delay this election as clearly parliament is the problem right now barring any clear resolution of the problem. But Corbyn knows he will not beat Boris at the polls and especially if Farrage swings behind him.
The consensus today was it would be really convenient if Corbyn got struck by lightning and removed from the equation as then a revocation alliance could form to counter what is otherwise the irresistable momentum of Brexit. Without Corbyn there would be a majority for revocation in parliament and the country.

It looks like the opposition will be going to court to ensure that Boris follows the law, deliberately sabotaging it, or refusing to carry it out would be a criminal act that would see him facing prison as he is not immune from the law.
Agreed, I wonder whether he has Orban on quickdial.Will being a BREXIT martyr get him elected at the election when it finally comes. Could he be elected from inside Wormwood Scrubs.

Corbyn hat at least been very clearly in support of a referendum.The Lib Dems and SNP and lone Green MP seem to be the only MPs unambiguously committed to a referendum that includes the Revocation option. Corbyn has vacillated on this and not made a clear statement and the impression is that he is a closet BREXITEER himself.

If he passes a deal he does not need to seek and extension, so if he gets a deal through parliament but does not ratify it, then we leave on ‘no deal’. The legislation says not one syllable about it needing to be ratified.
