So then that begs the question "was it illegal to ASK about that in 2020?". Given that it apparently happened.
Is the idea "you should not have been able to guess that you should ask that this be investigated ?"
It does seem a bit "odd" the more things that get dug up over time.

Popular news pundits on "some channels" claim it is a crime to know to ask about this - until 2023 Dec 17 (or something like that).
Just seems a bit "odd" to me.

That's not the question. The question is the legitimacy of the "announcement." Did the announcement really come from Governor Kemp's "Legal staff?" If it didn't, forget about it. If it did, then I'm sure that even a high school student knows that expo facto laws are forbidden by the US Constitution, and that laws can only be broken if they existed at the time of an incident.

So the first question is "Is it real?" If so, the next question is the standard "Would it have made a difference in the outcome of the election?" That doesn't ignore the possibility a crime took place, only it buries it deeper in the news than if it did.

If all the planets align and yes, it's a legitimate announcement and yes, a crime took place and yes it could have affected the outcome of the election, then it's still mostly mote because the results were certified both by Georgia officials before sending them to Congress, and then certified there.

Since Kemp is not a Trump fan, I'm skeptical of the announcement. If the announcement is true, it sounds more like he's trying to mend GOP fences in the state prior to 2024 (Note: Georgia has a two-term law for governor, Kemp is in his second term, and Georgia's gubernatorial election is two years after the presidential election). One of the best ways of doing that politically is to make a gesture that looks good to party members but amounts to nothing.

We KNOW there was no stolen election or illegal voting (at least by Democrats) so we know Kemp is as ungood here as the January 6th terrorists. Or maybe doubleplusungood. Arrest him and his legal staff. Thoughtcrime must be prevented. They are giving ungood ideas to the prols.

Hilarious. Since they faked the intent of the original meeting, they're now saying it won't be discussed.

Nothing to see here, folks........

I Agree

The case has been investigated and labeled (Violations Found), the investigation findings were to be revealed or discussed at the election board meeting tomorrow on 12-19-2023 but this has been canceled and continued for a later date

No....I stated that the trash was posted (not originated) on Atlanta Craiglist, and they flagged it for removal because it was fake.

Hilarious that any news in any way supportive of Trump's claims, would be allowed into the public space . If it might be favorable to some of Trump's claims, it should not be known to the public -

oh no wait!

Seriously - it sounds like the agenda item is "continued" for the following meeting.

Yeah, this appears to be fake news. You know a really obvious sign of that? There is no announcement from any government entity in Georgia about this supposed public meeting happening next week.
Please read post number #8 above, and you will find the meeting is tomorrow, and the investigation surrounding the fraudulent votes has been canceled and continued

Sounds like a one way street regarding speech

I live in a free country where a constitution in its 1st amendment protects "Freedom Of Speech" better known as the USA, and that includes the speech of 45th President Donald J. Trump

Once again, your “news” is bogus…..
you need to read your own links.

your link said:

==========================================================

"State Election Board spokesperson Alexandra Hardin provided a July 2022 letter from Gov. Kemp's deputy executive counsel Evan Meyers to the then-State Election Board Chairman at the time William S. Duffey, Jr. noting that Georgia resident Joseph Rossi "has brought forth claims regarding the 2020 general election."

"The Office of the Governor does not have the authority to investigate election matters; such authority resides with the State Election Board," it states. "I ask that you contact Mr. Rossi and review his claims to determine whether any consideration of such claims by the Board is warranted."

The case was originally set to be heard at this week's meeting, but that it has "been continued to a future meeting," Hardin said.

...

Ghazal told 11Alive the case was continued "to allow Secretary of State investigators more time to research answers to board member questions in advance of full presentation."
==================================================================

So now that both sides are seen to be saying the same thing about the agenda item above -- maybe less yuk-yuk-har-har and more "just the facts ma'am would be a help to everyone.

Uh…..no….you need to read the first part of the news report that disputes the OP’s x.com (twitter) link. The words “viral claim that began circulating” in the 11 Alive report contain a link to that twitter post and state that it is a bogus online blog.
