Yet the Complaint’s allegations are sorely wanting of relevant or reliable evidence, and Plaintiffs’ invocation of this Court’s limited jurisdiction is severely strained. Therefore, for the reasons stated herein, the Complaint shall be dismissed.
Fascinating read.

“Although Arizona electors may have a deadline by which to file election contests in Arizona state court, Plaintiffs here opted to file their federal constitutional challenges in federal court. The exhibits to the Complaint confirm that the events complained of occurred on or before Election Day. Accordingly, the Court rejects Plaintiffs’ self-serving statement that they did not know the basis for their claims before December 2, 2020. The documents they submit with their Complaint plainly shows the contrary is true, and the delay—which has resulted in a rush by this Court and Defendants to resolve these issues before the Electoral College meeting deadline of December 14, 2020—is unreasonable.”

But weight theys moar!

“Plaintiffs request an injunction that (a) enjoins Governor Ducey from transmitting the certified results, (b) orders Defendants to “de-certify” the election results, (c) nullifies votes tabulated by uncertified machines, (d) declares that illegal ballot fraud occurred in violation of the Electors and Elections Clauses and the Fourteenth Amendment’s Due Process and Equal Protections Clauses, (e) mandates a manual recount or statistical sampling of all mail-in and absentee ballots, and (f) allows Plaintiffs to seize and inspect voting hardware and software as well as security camera recordings “of all rooms used in Maricopa County” from November 3 to 4. (Doc. 1 at ¶ 145).”

Ask for everything under the Sun then moan about it on Parler when the Court laughs at your temeritous butts out of the courtroom.
Brilliant.

Sincere aplolgoies everyone, I had assumed the calamari fest was over for the day. WI just dismissed the final Kraken.

Total Kraken still alive: 0

Federal judges do not appoint the president in this country. One wonders why the plaintiffs came to federal court and asked a federal judge to do so. After a week of sometimes odd and often harried litigation, the court is no closer to answering the “why.” But this federal court has no authority or jurisdiction to grant the relief the remaining plaintiff seeks. The court will dismiss the case.

A few weeks ago Powell declared Georgia would be the first State she blew up. She was pretty close. Georgia was the first State she blew up in.

I understand there's a US sport that has the concept of a "triple header". Now we have a quadruple beheading.

No reason to keep this nothingburger of a thread open anymore, eh @NightHawkeye?

No reason but the Schadenfreudian denouement!

Apologies for mixing German and French.

Sidney Powell’s secret ‘military intelligence expert,’ key to fraud claims in election lawsuits, never worked in military intelligence

The witness is code-named “Spyder.” Or sometimes “Spider.” His identity is so closely guarded that lawyer Sidney Powell has sought to keep it even from opposing counsel. And his account of vulnerability to international sabotage is a key part of Powell’s failing multistate effort to invalidate President-elect Joe Biden’s victory.

Powell describes Spyder in court filings as a former “Military Intelligence expert,” and his testimony is offered to support one of her central claims.

Spyder, it turns out, is Joshua Merritt, a 43-year-old information technology consultant in the Dallas area. Merritt confirmed his role as Powell’s secret witness in phone interviews this week with The Washington Post.

Records show that Merritt is an Army veteran and that he enrolled in a training program at the 305th Military Intelligence Battalion, the unit he cites in his declaration. But he never completed the entry-level training course, according to Meredith Mingledorff, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Army Intelligence Center of Excellence, which includes the battalion.

“He kept washing out of courses,” said Mingledorff, citing his education records. “He’s not an intelligence analyst.”

His separation papers, which he provided to The Post, make no mention of intelligence training. They show that he spent the bulk of his decade in the Army as a wheeled vehicle mechanic.

When you need people to say whackadoodle things, credibility is not part of the job listing.

Here is John Solomon's take on Powell's filing:
Sidney Powell sues Georgia officials, alleging massive scheme to rig election for Joe Biden

The suit was filed in U.S. District Court in Atlanta on behalf of several Georgia residents, electors and Republican Party officials and named Gov. Brian Kemp, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and state election board members as defendants.
...
The suit asked for more than a dozen remedies including an injunction blocking the state's certified results showing Biden as winning by 12,000 votes from being sent to the Electoral College, an audit where signatures are matched, the impounding of election machines, and the securing of video surveillance tapes from vote-counting settings
.

It will be interesting to see who object to light shining on all that "perfection"

All of which would supposedly show a pristine election process with no fraud at all - for all the world to see... as proclaimed by CNN.

I wonder if CNN will "support" seeing their POV proven to be flawlessly accurate.

Indeed -- let the light shine on perfection

Fortunately state election officials, courts, and governors have mostly played it straight. The number of exceptions is small.

So then maybe a great chorus of affirmative for having light shine on all that perfectly pristine process - everyone will be sleeping easier...

If the focus was on the process rather than the outcome there would be some cred. But trying to remedy unproven problems ranks of a simple attempt to steal the election.

Now, explain to me why the REPUBLICANS like the Governor, Secretary of State and a slew of elected and appointed officials would throw in with the Democrats to dump Trump. Please explain then why the courts have consistently Jack-slapped these types of suits. Puhleeeze explain it to us!

And spare us the notion that anybody said this election was “pristine”.

Kraken lawyers ask if they can be represented by counsel, instead of appearing in person.

Judge says no.

You can watch it live next Monday:

fark_nno9pANoHgsnIIKuLwKFqxEqLVo.jpg

One of the lawyers appears to be using a similar defense to one oft employed here on CF: Claiming that the relevant "cases [are] too numerous to mention and any attempt to string cite them here would be insulting to all involved."

I somewhat doubt the judge will appreciate that argument.
