Joel 1 (NASB)
1 The word of the Lord that came to Joel, the son of Pethuel:
2 Hear this, O elders,
And listen, all inhabitants of the land.
15...For "the day of the Lord" is near,
And it will come as destruction from the Almighty.
Joel 2
1 Blow a trumpet in Zion, (for Israel)
And sound an alarm on My holy mountain!
Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble,
For "the day of the Lord" is coming;
Surely it is near,
11b..."The day of the Lord" is indeed great and very awesome,And who can endure it?
13b...Now return to the Lord your God,
For He is gracious and compassionate,
Slow to anger, abounding in lovingkindness And relenting of evil.

18 Then the Lord will be zealous for His land
And will have pity on His people.
19 The Lord will answer and say to His people,
“Behold, I am going to send you grain, new wine and oil, And you will be satisfied in full with them;
26 And I will never again make you a reproach among the nations.
“You will have plenty to eat and be satisfied
And praise the name of the Lord your God,
Who has dealt wondrously with you;
Then My people will never be put to shame.
27 “Thus you will know that I am in the midst of Israel,And that I am the Lord your God, And there is no other; And My people will never be put to shame.
The Promise of the Spirit for Israel
28 “It will come about after this (forgiveness)
That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind;
And your (Israel's) sons and daughters will prophesy,
Your old men will dream dreams,
Your young men will see visions.
29 “Even on the male and female servants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days.
"The Day of the Lord"
30 “I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth,
Blood, fire and columns of smoke.
31 “The sun will be turned into darkness
And the moon into blood
Before the great and awesome "day of the Lord" comes.
32 “And it will come about that whoever calls on the name of the Lord
Will be delivered;(saved from disaster)
For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem
There will be those who escape,
As the Lord has said,
Even among the survivors whom the Lord calls.
Joel 3 (NASB)....The Abramic Nations Will Be Judged
1 “For behold, in those days and at that time,
When I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,
2 I will gather all the nations
And bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat.
Then I will enter into judgment with them there
On behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel,
Whom they have scattered among the nations;
And they have divided up My land.
14b Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision!
For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.
15 The sun and moon grow dark And the stars lose their brightness.
16 The Lord roars from Zion
And utters His voice from Jerusalem,
And the heavens and the earth tremble.
But the Lord is a refuge for His people
And a stronghold to the sons of Israel.
17 Then you will know that I am the Lord your God,
Dwelling in Zion, My holy mountain.
So Jerusalem will be holy,
And strangers will pass through it no more.
2 Peter 3: 9-10
The Lord is not slow about his promise, as some think of slowness,
but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish, but all to come to repentance.(salvation)
But "the day of the Lord" will (is certain to) come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a loud noise, and the elements will be dissolved with fire, and the earth and everything that is done on it will be disclosed.

Isaiah 13:9
See, "the day of the LORD" is coming —a cruel day, with wrath and fierce anger—
to make the land desolate and destroy the sinners within it.

Therefore I will make the heavens tremble;
and the earth will shake from its place at the wrath of the LORD Almighty,
in the day of his burning anger.
Ezekiel 30:3
For the day is near, "the day of the LORD" is near— a day of clouds, a time of doom for the nations.

Malachi 4:1
