I wonder if British Prime Minister Theresa May got the message from Putin about the consequences of joining an allied coalition force to take Raqqa ? Doesn't sound like she did.

Russia conducting air and naval exercises (Operation Sea Fist) this close to British soil can only be interpreted one way, as a message from Moscow and a direct threat.

The birth pangs in scripture are specifically noted for Israel, still pending as we speak ....

Although there are specific prophecies that unmistakably relate directly to Israel, such as Matthew 24:15, it is incorrect to state all birth pains and all End Time Bible Prophecy relates to Israel alone and are still pending... That's total nonsense. Scripture that prove that "birth pains" will be global in nature are;

"Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and you shall be hated of ALL NATIONS for my name sake" (Matthew 24:9).

Notice it says "all nations" (plural nations), not just in Israel.

"For nation shall rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be famines, and pestilence and earthquakes in DIVERS PLACES" (Matthew 24:70), Mark 13:8 and Luke 21:11.

Nations and kingdoms plural, not just Israel. Notice it also says "divers places", meaning "different locations", again.. not just in one place, or nation.

"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in ALL THE WORLD for a witness unto ALL NATIONS; and then shall come the end" (Matthew 24:14).

This one hardly requires any explanation.. It's obviously global in nature and doesn't refer to solely to Israel alone...

"And the KINGS of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains" (Revelation 6:15).

Are there multiple KINGS in Israel ? Are there any kings in Israel today ? Last I heard, modern day Israel was established as a constitutional democracy, and not a monarchy. Obviously this prophecy can not be applied exclusively to Israel, and therefore can only be interpreted as being global in nature.

"and ALL THE WORLD wondered after the beast" (Revelation 13:3).

"all the world".. not just Israel. No further explanation is necessary on this one either.

So clearly, the attempt to Judaize the NT by "cherry picking" verses or Books of the Bible that specifically refer to Israel, posting that.. and trying to stretch that into a myth claiming all "birth pains" and all "End Time Prophecy" refers exclusively to Israel, or are all awaiting fulfillment in Israel alone, is inherently "unscriptural" and is total nonsense.

I can't believe we're having to once again correct this mythology in the thread, but as many times as it is stated by "Straightshot" and others like him, it has to be discredited by the truth.

Stephen, I certainly agree with your comment regarding the birth pangs. I believe many of the Birth pangs are/will be directed to other places of the earth, besides Israel.

Of course, I believe Straight Shot is my brother in Christ. Perhaps we just agree to disagree on this point.

Right now for instance, the world's troubles appear to be focused on Syria. If you read the OT, Syria in particular (called Assyria in ancient times), was a significant source of biblical plagues and judgments by God against the ancient people of Israel.

So personally, I don't find it surprising at all modern day Syria has become a "powder keg" literally about to explode... and when it does, it will have a major impact on ushering in the "fulfillment" of End Time Bible Prophecy. And believe me, the War in Syria is going to effect a lot more than just Israel... Watch and see.

Amen brother!:amen: And Let us not forger the prophecy about the destruction of Damascus. We see it happening before our eyes.

Exactly "Handmaid". End Time Prophecy is unfolding right before our very eyes. Posting warnings in this thread and others in the eschatology section does not merely represent some kind of an "intellectual" discussion, or brain exercise for me. It's way more serious than that.

Russia is steaming a naval carrier battle group towards Syria. China is fuming mad over a U.S. freedom of navigation patrol conducted near the Paracel Islands in the South China Sea yesterday.. and on Friday afternoon, America was hit with a massive cyber attack that crippled the internet. It also looks like Hillary Clinton is going to win the election in November, and Vladimir Putin is having an apoplectic fit over the prospect of Hillary being elected POTUS.

I take this serious enough, I've stockpiled 3 months of provisions and have prepared to evacuate from the city and head for the mountains on 24 hours notice. If Hill AFB to the north gets hit with a nuke, because of the seasonal winter atmospheric inversion experienced here locally, the Salt Lake City valley is going to fill up with radioactive fallout. Smog can't even escape from SLC valley in the winter.

One and a half million people in SLC valley are going to be dead within a week in the event of a nuclear war. SLC valley is going to become a massive uninhabitable grave yard.. and I for one am not going to be here when that happens.

If everyone else isn't taking similar precautions.. all I can say is "good luck" with that.

Yeah! I wonder why he is so afraid of Hillary? That is odd. Other women have been head of state and he has not made these threats.

Yeah! I wonder why he is so afraid of Hillary? That is odd. Other women have been head of state and he has not made these threats.

Hillary Clinton served as Secretary of State in the Obama Administration in 2012 when the U.S. State Department issued it's report on Human Rights Violations in Russia, accusing Vladimir Putin of creating a Stalinist dictatorship in the country.

Throughout the presidential campaign, Hillary has repeatedly referred to Russia as the enemy of the United States, and she has accused Putin of doing nothing to defeat ISIS in Syria. In the last presidential debate she pledged to create a coalition army to liberate the Syrian city of Raqqa from ISIS. Syria and Russia are NEVER going to allow a Western coalition ground force to operate on Syrian soil.

Hillary also supports a strong NATO, in which America must continue (as it always has), to play a majority military role. America provides around 75% of NATO's conventional military forces, and nearly all of it's tactical nuclear forces.

Hillary Clinton is the "establishment" candidate who will continue the Obama "anti-Putin/Russian Containment" policies begun in 2012 by Clinton. For this reason Hillary represents a direct threat to Putin's survival.. and as such, she is his nemesis and enemy. So Putin has vowed repeatedly in public to destroy her and America on numerous occasions.

Evidently he is afraid her presidency COULD destroy him. Hmmm. His threats sound like desperation to me.

I've watched lots of programs on PBS where experts have tried to analyze Putin, and basically it boils down to this; The people will tolerate just about anything that increases the greatness of Mother Russia. This hyper-nationalistic view of Russia as a great power is deeply engrained into the Russian psychic.

Putin has vowed to restore Russia to its' former greatness under the Soviet Union. As long as he is perceived as delivering on this pledge, he can get away with virtually anything. However, this also represents a "double edged sword". If Putin is seen as backing down to the military threats of NATO and America, the Russian people will quickly turn against him and rip him apart. That's where "fear" enters into the equation.

So it's literally a zero sum game for Putin. To use a poker analogy, Putin is "all in", and he's willing to push every last chip he has into the pot in order to force his opponent to fold. Unfortunately nuclear weapons represent the very last "chip".

Although massive in numbers, Russia's ground, air and naval forces are dated.. and can't possibly hope to prevail in a protracted military conflict with NATO and the United States. The use of Russia's conventional forces alone, is simply not enough "chips" in the pot to cause NATO and America to fold.

Nuclear weapons are the most advanced and powerful weapons Russia possesses. On this level, Russia is equal to (or greater than), every other nation on earth. Therefore, many western experts (both political and military), fear Putin will not hesitate to use nuclear weapons if necessary.

So he would let fear of his losing power or face push him to unleash a nuclear holocaust upon the world?? . That is not a principled attitude at all.It does not make a bit of sense.

And yet there are examples throughout history of dictators and military leaders ignoring reality and resorting to extreme (even insane) actions.

Santa Anna (The Napoleon of the West) invaded Texas to make a point. He pushed his army nearly to the border of Louisiana, and there violated an established military axiom, where he "divided his army in the face of an unknown enemy" in order to hunt down Sam Houston's army... Then Santa Anna was himself hunted down and trapped at the Battle of San Jacinto, where he lost the battle and was captured by the Texans.

General George Custer made the same mistake Santa Anna did. If Custer had been smart and remained with General Reno's force, instead of chasing after the Indians alone, Custer and 7th Calvary would not have been slaughtered at the Battle of the Little Bighorn.

There's also Adolf Hitler's Declaration of War against America immediately following Pearl Harbor. There was nothing in the Axis Agreement which required Axis partners to militarily support one another in war. Some historians speculate Hitler expected Japan would reciprocate and declare war on Russia when he attacked the Soviet Union. Unfortunately for Hitler, that didn't happen, and Germany had to fight a two front war all on its' own.

So although it's true it would be considered insane for Putin to resort to using nuclear weapons, there is historic president for dictators and military leaders to act in a totally irrational (even insane) and unpredictable (even suicidal) manner.

Unfortunately this is too true brother. It seems men would learn from the mistakes of other men.

Putin is a fool and he struggles .... the prophetic scriptures give no recognition of Putin

The prophetic scriptures do not speak of a nuclear war brought on by Putin

This revealing may be indicative of the nuclear burning of a nation in one day, but it will not be caused by Putin [Revelation 8:6-12; 14:8; 17:16-18; 18]
