Wonder what has Putin so spooked? Is he really so afraid of Hillary Clinton? Imagine that, the tough man of Russia afraid of a woman President of the United States. So afraid that he has to threaten nuclear war??? If that is the case, Russians should be embarrassed at these panic attacks coming from their leader.

Earthquakes:

strong 6.2 earthquake strikes off the coast of Indonesia.

http://hisz.rsoe.hu/alertmap/database/?pageid=seism_index&rid=627723
I will typically share 5.6+ earthquakes that take place or (smaller) earthquakes that affect people. Anything even at that moderate-strong level 5.6+ can have adverse affects. If you find yourself on the epicenter of a shallow 5.6 you are likely to experience adverse affects. Anyways, I monitor just about every earthquake that the usgs reports. I've noticed a slight increase in 3.5 + and even several 5+ and some 6+, as of late. I'm interested to see if this increase continues. Of course, I know things fluctuate, but time will tell.

AFP Press Tuesday Oct, 18

The Russians premier flagship, the aircraft carrier Admiral Kutsenov and seven escort ships are headed for Eastern Mediterranean Sea, where they will join the ten warships that already arrived in Syria last week.

This fleet of seventeen warships constitutes the largest Russian naval presence in the Eastern Mediterranean in recent history. These warships (including a carrier) and a Typhoon ballistic submarine, are far more naval firepower than Russia needs to win the final battle for Aleppo, or consolidate Bashir al Assad's grip on Syria.

What does Putin plan to do with these warships in the Eastern Mediterranean ?

In other news;

Russia has recently reached an agreement with Vietnam to further expand its' military presence in the country. The port of Cam Rahn Bay has been used by Russian warships since 2013, and in 2014 Russia began basing military aircraft there as well.

This expansion of Russian naval capabilities in Vietnam was underscored by joint Russian/Chinese naval exercises in the South China Sea held earlier this month.

IMG_2755.PNG Wars and Rumors of wars:

Russia deploys largest naval force since Cold War.

I believe Stephen covered this earlier. I included a map of (soon to be) warships in the area. The map is in the article as well.

I can't believe Putin is massing all this naval firepower in the Eastern Mediterranean for nothing but show. That seems pretty unlikely to me.

Is Putin about to declare a "No Fly Zone" over Syria ? Or is he contemplating something far worse ?

As a sailor on the DDG Waddell in the 1970's, I got to see a Russian heavy guided missile cruiser up close and personal off the coast of California. It was bristling with missile launch tubes open and ready for action, it was about the scariest thing I had ever seen in my entire life, and it still gives me nightmares even to this day.

Google "Moskova Heavy Guided Missile Cruiser" nicknamed the "Carrier Killer" and you'll see what I mean. It's a beast.

He is, imho ,trying to make America show what she has got. I hope we don't flinch. I do not believe for one moment he wants nuclear war.

In the third presidential debate tonight, Hillary Clinton announced she is going to declare a "No Fly Zone" over Syria and work with our allies to create a coalition army to take the de-facto capital of ISIS in Syrian located in the city of Raqqa. Hillary also accused Russia of doing nothing in Syria to defeat ISIS in the debate.

This is no empty threat. In a story that broke three hours ago, The Wall Street Journal reports that U.S. military leaders are meeting with the U.K, Turkey and anti-Isis Arab State partners to create a coalition ground force to take the city of Raqqa.

Sorry my apologies, the link doesn't take you straight to the article, you'll have to type the entire link into a search engine like google to see the story.

Sounds to me like we've got a war with Russia. There's no way Russia and Assad are going to allow a coalition ground force to set foot in Syria. I guess we know now what all the Russian firepower is about. Frankly, I don't think Putin is bluffing.. as he has never has been caught in a bluff before.
