But thinking about preparation for nuclear war, I remember the hysteria the Jade Helm exercise produced in the Christian community here in the U.S. especially in the conspiracy theorist camp.
I'm not generally a "conspiracy theory" enthusiast, but I do believe
some conspiracy theories actually make a valid point. For instance, to this day many Americans believe Lee Harvey Oswald was a lone assassin who shot President Kennedy. However, in 1978, the last Select Congressional Committee on Assassinations concluded Kennedy was killed by a conspiracy or
persons unknown, which goes against popular public opinion as to what actually happened in Dallas on that day.
The same is true for the Jade Helm 15 exercise. According to Washington, the exercise was carried out to prepare troops for operations
overseas on some future battlefield. (First Question) Why weren't ordinary soldiers included in the exercise who would have benefitted the most from such training, if it was a drill to prepare the Army in general for overseas combat ?
Only special forces units took part in the exercise, (U.S. Marine, Army Ranger and Navy Seal units) when those troops already have extensive combat training. (Second Question) Why was the training carried out on private lands, instead of military bases and reservations throughout the United States where combat is simulated and combat training has always traditionally been conducted in the past ?
(Third Question) Why was Homeland Security involved in a supposed combat training exercise for overseas deployment, and why did local police, medical and fire department personnel in nearby towns where the deployments took place
participate in the exercise, and why were they issued radiological dose meter equipment and trained in its' use during Jade Helm 15 ?
These questions not only set off a
firestorm of suspicion among professional conspiracy theorists, but the governors of Texas and Colorado were equally
dubious of the
real intentions behind Jade Helm 15 and it's proposed purpose, and said so numerous times in the press. Why the skepticism and paranoia ?
It is because the official stated purpose of Jade Helm 15 simply didn't resemble the facts on the ground and couldn't explain what we were seeing. (Obvious conclusion) The officially U.S. government explanation justifying the operation was a complete subterfuge... It was in reality, a national nuclear war
preparedness drill.
Who knows, maybe the internet conspiracy story about a military junta taking over the United States after a declaration of martial law was actually started by the government itself, as a deliberate act of subterfuge to conceal the real purpose of Jade Helm 15.
