According to the USGS, a magnitude-6.1 earthquake struck near the coast of Ecuador on Wednesday. No reports of casualties at this time.

I saw that. Thanks for posting this. I feel for those people .

Aha, i see.
But it will cause many to leave the faith, i think...
You think people will leave the faith because the NAS uses the word "pangs" and other versions use the word "pains"? Pretty shallow faith, imo.

I confess. Since I don't know you, I have to take what you say at face value. Sorry if I misinterpreted what you meant.
No problem, i was just surprised by your question.

Time will tell.
Iḿ rather alone here with my faith, the people i love are not believers.
But who knows what will happen? God knows.
The reason I asked was because in the book of John 6 there is an incident where many people who followed Lord
Jesus stopped following Him because He said something they could not accept.
John 6:
67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?

68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.

So be sure of the one in whom you have believed.

I can't make myself believe harder than i do.
And i haven't met God like the Apostles have.
I have hope, but it is in God's hands.

If Yellowstone erupts, that would be one HUGE birth pang. I sure have been hearing quite a bit about this lately. Train of thought is, recent earthquakes have caused some to believe that seismic activity is on the increase. Including seismic activity/ instability in that region.

Here's just one of the many articles that can be found.

Yes I have been hearing things about that too. I also heard that a super volcano in North Korea is waking up . I will see if I can find that article again.

Waking supervolcano makes North Korea and West join forces
Rare example of collaboration with isolationist regime's researchers helps reveal secrets of one of the world’s largest volcanoes

If it blows again, it could make Vesuvius look like a tea party.

Now, in a ground-breaking collaboration between the West and North Korea, vulcanologists are gaining new insights into Mount Paektu, on North Korea’s border with China, and whether it might blow its top any time soon.

If it does, the outcome could be catastrophic. Paektu’s last eruption, a thousand years ago, is the second largest ever recorded, topped only by the eruption of Mount Tambora in Indonesia in 1815.

330 Million Impacted By India Heat Wave That Has Killed At Least 160, Officials Say
Published:
Apr 21 2016 11:00 AM EDT
By Ada Carr and Sean Breslin
weather.com

Sweltering temperatures lasting for weeks led to more than 160 deaths in southern and eastern India, officials announced Tuesday.

Police reported 55 heat-related deaths in Orissa and at least 45 occurred in Andhra Pradesh, according to the Associated Press. Sixty-six deaths were reported in Telangana. Most of those killed by the heat wave were laborers and farmers. India's government told the country's supreme court that at least 330 million people have been impacted by the heat wave, and that number is likely to rise, BBC.com reported.

The stifling climate is typical of this time of year. April and May tend to be the hottest months of the year in India, right before the wet phase of the Asian monsoon, according to weather.com senior meteorologist Jon Erdman. Dusty, hot winds in Delhi send temperatures soaring to about 113 degrees.

Eight killed as 'golf ball' hailstones, storms lash Myanmar

YANGON (AFP) - Violent storms which saw hailstones the size of golf balls rain down across Myanmar have killed at least eight people in recent days, toppled pagodas and damaged thousands of buildings, officials said on Sunday (April 24).
Pictures and TV footage showed huge hailstones crashing onto flooded streets and clattering off metal roofs as residents rushed for shelter.

I have trouble believing this is leading to the end of the world.
Speaking only for myself, I don't think these catastrophes are leading to the end of the world either. The end can come at any time with no other signs preceding it. It may happen tonight or not for another 1000 years (or more).

I agree the Earth is ever changing and yes we have had an impact on our home planet over the years. Pollution is a problem and has consequences. Perhaps that is part of what is happening but of course I am not sure.

The real, unmistakable sign to commence the end of this age will be the seemingly natural disaster of the Lord's Day of wrath by fire from the sun. This judgement/punishment by fire is prophesied throughout the Bible and is the next event we can expect. As we read in Psalms 83:1-18, there will be an attack upon Israel by the surrounding Islamic peoples. That is the moment the Lord will arise and send His fiery Sword of destruction onto them, annihilating them all and affecting all the world. Psalms 11:4-6, Isaiah 66:15-16, Habakkuk 3:12, 2 Peter 3:7
This disaster will set the scene for all the rest of the prophesies about the last days to take place, leading up to the glorious Return of Jesus.
