was reading Hebrews and this verse sorta' caught my attention:

"By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God." ~Hebrews 11:5

This reminds me of what happened to Elijah. God took/translated Enoch because he pleased God, and that is why God took him. It appears that it would also apply to Elijah. Enoch didn't die. Neither did Elijah.

I was listening to a Bible teacher say that Elisha was a "greater" prophet than Elijah...

I don't understand why there would be a comparison.....that seems a distraction from the point of God using both of them mightily...it is GOD Who should be focused on.....in addition, Elisha got sick and died. Elijah was translated and did not taste death.
