was reading Hebrews and this verse sorta' caught my attention:

"By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God." ~Hebrews 11:5

This reminds me of what happened to Elijah. God took/translated Enoch because he pleased God, and that is why God took him. It appears that it would also apply to Elijah. Enoch didn't die. Neither did Elijah.
