"Giant winged cherubim" .... Solomon also seemed to be a fan of "hewn stone", although not a decoration, he used a lot of it.

A cheruim is an angel. There were two huge cherubims made from Olive trees. These two cherubims were so large that their wings touched in the middle of the temple, and their other wings touched the temple walls.

And he overlaid the cherubims with gold.

And he carved all the walls of the house round about with carved figures of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers.
