Acts: 11. 7. And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat. 8. But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth. 9. But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
What about Benny Hinn saying he didn't believe the Word of Faith doctrine?
I've heard of no particular stories other than this one that I recall, but I have little doubt people come to their senses, whether it be from involvement in the occult, a cult or whatever and do get out.
I find this suspect because of the circumstances surrounding it, that being mainly Hinn. I found the following without really looking that hard, so not sure what else is out there, but this is enough to tell us plenty.
Luke 21:8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
The bible is very clear that we'll know when Christ returns, "we will be changed in the twinkling of an eye" and any claims like Hinn has made in the clip to get more people in his meetings, hence more money, are absolutely bogus.
Yup....Copeland and Hinn are two peas in a wof pod.Hinn makes a habit of that. If he goes with things like Copeland's, or whoever came up with it... "Little Gods" thing, he will eventually withdraw his subscribing to those beliefs if it makes him less popular or hits him in the wallet. Hinn does whatever it takes to be accepted by the most people he possibly can. More people more money....simple formula.
I'm not grinding any ax, just putting out info on Hinn and all the rest of the word-faith culture for everyone to see.You will need to read it ,but I would like to know what the ax is you are grinding.
I can't even imagine anyone questioning what Hinn is at this point in time, but whatever.
I just read down to here, but, from the article...
Though he once taught that Christians are “little gods,” Hinn now refutes that doctrine. “I did teach the little gods doctrine,” he said. “Today I don’t believe it one iota. In fact, it’s been erased off all my tapes. …When I taught the little gods doctrine, I was using Scriptures that didn’t fit.”

Anyone remember him saying he was wrong for being so wealthy, and he should scale back? or something to that effect. This was right after he was outed publicly, and I doubt hes any less wealthy today, probably more so. Whatever it takes...that's Hinn.

It's up to them to decide.

Prosperity doctrine is evidently flawed.
I have a tough time believing much of anything from a man who's made himself filthy rich by deceiving others. He simply has no credibility in my view.
If prosperity doctrine actually worked, then why would a preacher hold onto millions of dollars in personal wealth? If you cant "out give God" as they say, then give away everything. Right?
Lets use Acts 10 instead of 11 for this vision
Read on brother and Peter will tell you what the vision means in verse
28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
You see the vision does not make all meat clean unless you take the verse 28 out of the Bible then you could claim that they are clean.
Like a superstar athlete who plays mediocre half the time but still gets 100 million dollar contracts?
It's amazing actors, politicians athletes all are playing a roll and making bank doing it.
Yet the most venomous criticism award go's to Preachers of the Gospel.
I'm not disagreeing with you just making a observation.
Unless anyone can defend giving billions to Iran to fund their nuke program.
We have a network television show named Lucifer, you think maybe Christians should say something about it?
For me, I think it's the fact he/they do it in the name of God or good, and steals little ol' ladies money, that makes it as bad if not worse than those others you mention. Just something about those people that I can't stand.
Also, I'm not sure that some of them preach enough of the true Gospel to even claim they actually are "preachers of the Gospel".
What was said in that tape is just wrong and HInn is walking a thin line.
I do not listen or watch him myself it is understandable why people do not trust him.
