Acts: 11. 7. And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat. 8. But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth. 9. But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

Lets use Acts 10 instead of 11 for this vision
Read on brother and Peter will tell you what the vision means in verse
28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

You see the vision does not make all meat clean unless you take the verse 28 out of the Bible then you could claim that they are clean.

What about Benny Hinn saying he didn't believe the Word of Faith doctrine?

I have a tough time believing much of anything from a man who's made himself filthy rich by deceiving others. He simply has no credibility in my view.

I've heard of no particular stories other than this one that I recall, but I have little doubt people come to their senses, whether it be from involvement in the occult, a cult or whatever and do get out.

I find this suspect because of the circumstances surrounding it, that being mainly Hinn. I found the following without really looking that hard, so not sure what else is out there, but this is enough to tell us plenty.

Luke 21:8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.

The bible is very clear that we'll know when Christ returns, "we will be changed in the twinkling of an eye" and any claims like Hinn has made in the clip to get more people in his meetings, hence more money, are absolutely bogus.

I can't even imagine anyone questioning what Hinn is at this point in time, but whatever.

I just read down to here, but, from the article...

Though he once taught that Christians are “little gods,” Hinn now refutes that doctrine. “I did teach the little gods doctrine,” he said. “Today I don’t believe it one iota. In fact, it’s been erased off all my tapes. …When I taught the little gods doctrine, I was using Scriptures that didn’t fit.”

Hinn makes a habit of that. If he goes with things like Copeland's, or whoever came up with it... "Little Gods" thing, he will eventually withdraw his subscribing to those beliefs if it makes him less popular or hits him in the wallet. Hinn does whatever it takes to be accepted by the most people he possibly can. More people more money....simple formula.

Anyone remember him saying he was wrong for being so wealthy, and he should scale back? or something to that effect. This was right after he was outed publicly, and I doubt hes any less wealthy today, probably more so. Whatever it takes...that's Hinn.

You will need to read it ,but I would like to know what the ax is you are grinding.
I'm not grinding any ax, just putting out info on Hinn and all the rest of the word-faith culture for everyone to see.

It's up to them to decide.

Based on the Benny Hinn part of the story, do you believe Angela Greenig's story in Furious Love?

Putting out info is simply ,putting out gossip.
My reason for saying this is due to the diversity in a movement rather than a denomination.
Any one can say they are a part of a movement.
Denominations have ordinances to abide by in there conduct.

There may be other reasons to accuse others of wrong doing, some people cannot accept God's Word by themselves.
Such people need a Teacher to tell them what to believe.
Some bash everyone but their own circle of sheep, yet they sheer their sheep till they bleed.
It's called convict and challenge preaching,God's gonna kill ya the devil has control in your life and don't let your women dress too nice, because it's their job to keep him from lust.
Legalism is demonic,I have been in these Churches and they are more corrupt than the people the critize.

Not a one of these Churches open the doors without shaking the plates for a offering.
Word of Faith teaches to have faith in God for prosperity, not religious begging.
Word of Faith people tithe more than a tenth,as well We support missions around the World.
The devil used the term if ye be the Son of God,each time Christ rebuked him with God's Word.
So to the accusers of the Brethern:

Revelation: 12. 10. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. 12. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

Prosperity doctrine is evidently flawed.

So is the filled with humble pride doctrine of poverty.

This Bible verse must be flawed

3 John: 1. 2. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

What is flawed is money hungry people promising answered prayer for sowing seeds into their ministry.

There is nothing wrong with prosperity, it is conditional upon your heart toward the Lord.
Some people can make a 72 pinto their Idol, others can drive what ever they want and have a rightous heart.
Romans: 8. 1. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4. That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Like a superstar athlete who plays mediocre half the time but still gets 100 million dollar contracts?

It's amazing actors, politicians athletes all are playing a roll and making bank doing it.
Yet the most venomous criticism award go's to Preachers of the Gospel.

I'm not disagreeing with you just making a observation.
Unless anyone can defend giving billions to Iran to fund their nuke program.

We have a network television show named Lucifer, you think maybe Christians should say something about it?

If prosperity doctrine actually worked, then why would a preacher hold onto millions of dollars in personal wealth? If you cant "out give God" as they say, then give away everything. Right?

Try giving ,not for wealth but for God's glory see if it works.
You may be surprised to know many people give over 30 percent and are abundant in every need want and desire.
If a person's giving is bankrupting them they are giving for their glory not God's, after all God loves a cheerful giver.

I agree with you ,the context was guided more toward people than food the food was a metaphor for the Gentiles

.Romans: 14. 17. For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. 18. For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men. 19. Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. 20. For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence. 21. It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak. 22. Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth. 23. And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

For me, I think it's the fact he/they do it in the name of God or good, and steals little ol' ladies money, that makes it as bad if not worse than those others you mention. Just something about those people that I can't stand.

Also, I'm not sure that some of them preach enough of the true Gospel to even claim they actually are "preachers of the Gospel".
