Benny is into emotions. I stay away from those.
Benny knows not when some will get saved -- if ever.
Even Jesus said that was a work of the Holy Spirit.

Watching him speak in tongues gives me hives.

What is your view on the girl from Furious Love who talked about Benny Hinn saying she would get saved?

Benny has no power over who gets saved or who does not get saved.

If he had that power I would pay him to come to San Diego and save a few of my lost friends.

According to what the Bible teaches, he has not a clue.

He also talks about healing people.
Once again, I will pay his way and we can go to Children's Hospital
see how many dieing children he can save.

Do you think that girl's story was true about leaving the occult and finding God?

I struggle to see how these healers can heal the blind and lame, but we never see them at St Judes hospital or shriners.

My thoughts exactly.
I have stated for a long time that I will pay their way to Children's Hospital.
We never see them there, do we?

?

We don't find God.
The Holy Spirit gives us (some) a new heart.
Many are called, few are chosen.

What do you think of this scripture? Those who gathered much had nothing left over. No abundance left over. Those who gathered little had no lack, because they shared in the abundance of others. Notice paul says hes "testing" their love.

Prosperity doctrine often shames the poor by questioning their faith, but paul says that "in love" the poor share with the rich. Shaming the poor is wrong.

2 Corinthians 8:15 As it is written, “He who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack.”[a]

Whos heart is wrong here? The rich or the poor?

Well when studying God's Word, the context in order of events influences the narrative.
On to chapter 9.

2 Corinthians: 9. 5. Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty, whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness. 6. But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 8. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 9. (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever. 10. Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;) 11. Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. 12. For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God; 13. Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men

In chapter 8 Paul is speaking of his stewardship of provision in the assignment of Titus.

It really does not matter if you abide in the teaching of chapter 9,you can give what you have and not hoard and God will replace what you give.
This is the whole idea of giving, you have to have a heart for the Lord enough to release what you have knowing God will bless you in all things.
It's not about greed it's about having enough resources to be a blessing, over and over again.
If you are just getting by yourself, how can you bless others?

You say its not about greed, however this isnt true of all people. To say its not about greed is to judge other peoples motives, which only God can do.

I agree completely,it doesn't matter where you go our enemy has someone to shake up your faith and allow for bitterness to rise up.

Matthew: 7. 16. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17. Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Bottom line, we never see healers like Benny Hinn in the hospitals, but instead behind a TV screen, asking for money, selling their books..

The Spiritual gifts are not manifested by the person gifted, only by God's will for his purpose.
No man can command the Holy Spirit.
That goes for a healing service,or camp meeting as well.
Even the Apostles have a few miracles on record, every thing they did or we can do today if given by God for his glory not the Preacher.

I dont agree that a preacher who can heal on his TV show, cant also visit a cancer hospital as well.

Benny Hinn - A False Prophet

What do you think of those who say Benny Hinn is a false preacher? In the video below the testimony talks about him.

I have family members that attend a church that was started by one of his disciples...for lack of a better term...I've been to this church, and I've seen some things that I question, biblically...mainly regarding tithing, and their message of salvation...I've also seen some odd things like them claiming gold dust was falling from the ceiling ( I didn't see it, and I was in the middle of the sanctuary). The one thing that did happen, that I could not explain was that they had a worship minister there named Ray Hughes, and during the worship service you could hear a flute being played, it's also on the audio cd from that service...I could not find anyone in the auditorium playing a flute, and the sound booth was in plain site as well...there was also no electronic keyboard being played, so that's a bit of a mystery...

I don't know...I'm Pentecostal, and have witnessed many charismatic services, people being filled with the Spirit...I've seen the real and the unreal, and to me this fell within the unreal...especially when I watched them teaching people how to pray in tongues...this isn't something that is taught...and I read somewhere that Benny Hinn does this as well, so....

“For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.” Matt 7:2
Not saying don't judge but got enough going on without causing more on myself.

“But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.” Matt 12:36

If he was your friend or biological brother or son, would you say the same words with the same attitude?

As far as his salvation, gosh just see lots of love in that question especially since only Yahweh knows our hearts (I Sam 16:7)

How do you define a word of knowledge and a word of wisdom (I Cor 12:8)?
I ready, really wonder why we never use the rest of Matt. 7 in proving what the Word of God teaches about decernment about truth? I see in that scripture Jesus telling us we don't have the right to judge who is, and who isn't going to be saved; but we are to judge by their works whether they are truthful or not.

Our inspection badges aren't to override the love we have for others either.

What's the real purpose in these type of threads?

Ever think about the words we speak? There's so many Scriptures in regards to this topic that could be listed and I can if needed.

Studied the manifestations of the gifts of The Spirit? Think posted about that earlier.

Ever consider the impact of what we think about others including believers especially before taking communion? It doesn't really take that much for us to be offended. I've seen one tear and one spoken amen (2 different occasions) offend. It's something I have to be aware of. Forgiveness is so vital (Lord's Prayer +++).

I'm still not saying don't judge but knowing whatever I sow, I reap (Gal 6:7) causes me to be more cautious most of the time - to weigh what I'm running my mouth about.

Encouraging you to see that the rest of Matt 7 is about loving Yahweh and others.

I read all ten pages of this very interesting, and at times disturbing, discussion and there are two truths I was able to discern from it.

First, someone has used up about five years worth of questions in this thread. Second, the WOF and Benny Hinns of the world are the number one cited reason why people dismiss Christianity today; hypocrisy.

So it just supports what you already thought?

I'm not just referring to servant68 post, why do we feel so entitled to criticize other believers when they interpret Scripture differently than us? What is in us that makes us label others? Are we praying for them? If we do, is it a humble prayer? Or we want them to change their minds to match what we think because we're sure our perspectives exactly match Yahweh's perspectives.
