There are so many people in need on these forums, like the Prayer Requests subforum and even this Healing subforum.

Let's turn our attention to something we can agree on: praying for and encouraging others. Putting "self" to death and doing the work of the Lord, ministering to the lost, dying and hurting right in our own neighborhoods, including our brothers and sisters in Jesus.

I think so. It's been a while since I read the rules about pets, but I think you have to have a pet for X amount of time before it's out of diapers.

Reading thread made me angry. I will probably sound a bit incoherent b/c of it, but I still feel like writting this.

You all sound like a bunch of legalists; pharisees. Before accusing someone else to be a false prophet, how about looking at your own fruit first? Where is your holiness? How much do you pray? How many do you lead into the kingdom of God? I'd dare to say that many of you watch more TV than pray and seek the Lord. How about you get some of that wisdom that David had? He dared not touch or even ridicule or accuse Saul, God's annointed. He dared not because he feared what would happen to him if he did.

I would go as far as to say that some of the people who blindly accused Benny Hinn in this thread need to repent. I have seen those websites where you get that information off of. Those people on those website accuse almost every person who actually does something for their Lord and King. I tell you the truth, judgement day won't be good for them.

Those of us who said Benny Hinn is a false prophet do so with good reason, and have the Bible as our witness to how to discern a false prophet.

Note: A false prophet isn't God's "anointed".

When someone says God is going to do something, then that prophecy doesn't come true - then they have basically said that God has lied to them, and to everyone they gave the "prophecy" to.

Jeremiah Chapter 23 comes to mind.

Dear God I pray against the spirit of evil I see creeping into this thread.. I see that it is not of You.. Father I thank You for those who stand forth against criticism in these last days.. I thank You that souls are being saved!! I thank You that souls are being healed.. I pray that if people come to a healing thread.. they stop worrying about who is and who is not of God and start praying for those who need healing and come before You!!! For there is many who are still waiting to know the gospel and need Your healing touch.. Praise the Lord.. Let us keep doing good works for You and instead of being critical and disagreeing.. Get up and do something for You.. I thank You Lord that there is still time to bring in the souls that are yet to see salvation!! I thank You for You can do something because nothing is impossible for You.. and will use many of us to Your works for You.. We are so blessed.. Amen and amen

Many of these websites you refer to have statements and comments that Benny Hinn has made in the past and they are either his actual voice or his quotes so one cannot dispute the authenticity of them in many cases. Like many people will say: if you are going to prophesy, you had better be prepared to stand behind your words if the prophecies do not come true.

Jesus said in Matt. 24:11 "then many false prophets will rise up and decieve many." Don't know about you but I want to do my homework and read up on these prophets before I start believing someone is anointed of the Lord. There are many of them out there but on the flip side, there are those who go about doing the Lord's work with no fanfare, no hype, no circus and with utmost humility and love for the Lord. I'm not saying that Benny Hinn or others like him don't love the Lord but we are to look at the fruit of the Spirit and the Spirit is meek, gentle and loving, not bombastic, flashy and marquee material.

So you can point your finger all you want because I will continue to be wary of any Joe Schmo who comes along and says he is anointed of the Lord and wants to heal me. My Spirit sent up red flags with Benny Hinn and yet with others, I was perfectly at peace with them praying over me.

This is true.....if we hold onto God's Word and Truth, He will show us what we need to know and He does love us all very much, indeed!!!

It's been about 9 years since I've heard Benny.........but back when I had cable and I watched him......................I knew him to be a man of God.

And he is capable of mistakes as any of us.

If any think Benny to be not annointed then it is your responsibility to pray for him..............ask Jesus to open his eyes and to cover him and ask Jesus to bless Benny ..................so far I have heard many curse him. Where is the love that we are to have for one another? If someone thinks Benny has a demon..............then why did they not cast the demon out? Hello...........

I personally think Benny is a good man of God...........Benny Loves Jesus with his whole heart........and if he stumbles then we are to help hold him up...........

I don't believe that any of us have cursed him.....we have simply reported our experiences in regards to seeing him, either on tv or in person.

Obviously, we all have different opinions and feelings about this subject but we must remember that we have to put God before the man and see what the man does with the gifts he is given. It appears to me, and I very well may be wrong, but some here seem to be putting Benny Hinn on a high pedestal and this is something that is not good. While I believe that Mr. Hinn does love the Lord or else he wouldn't be doing what he does, IMO he has also taken something very serious and sacred and created a show around it. It is my prayer that people truly are healed at his crusades and I believe that some are but I simply have an issue with the way he goes about it.

When Jesus healed the sick, He did so in a very spiritual, methodical manner. Yes, there were throngs of people around Him but it didn't turn out to be a circus as I feel the Hinn crusades have turned into. Again, this is my opinion and I stand by them. I do, however, pray for Mr. Hinn and for the people that attend his services, that God will truly touch each and every one of them.

We must be careful to remember who is doing the healing; not the man but God. God has also told us to be very careful when it comes to modern day prophets and He told us that for a very good reason: for our protection.

Disagree. One get's a lot of money if you can convince someone to pay for what you do or say.

Anyone can pretend to be a Christian and get paid to preach. It wouldn't be the first time it's been done throughout History

It costs money to preach the gospel in many different countries in this day and age... It costs money to have a program run in different languages on TV in many different countries this day and age...

It costs money to produce teaching cds and dvds and all that goes with a ministry..

If people give to a ministry it is because God has touched them to do so.. they stand before God not others to judge them.. When a preacher preaches the gospel in a country.. he has to first get there on a plane or whatever method he goes there..
Gods people pay the fare because God has given to them in the first place.. so they are helping the people who hear the gospel to hear it.. otherwise if the preacher could not get there.. they could not hear the gospel!!!

Many of us who sit condemning others who are out there doing what God said.. taking the gospel to the world.. are neither supporting the gospel to go out.. or supporting those who take it..

We need to be busy in this day and age and make sure the gospel gets to every man, woman and child.. Jesus returns soon.. we will be ready to meet Him.. will we have done what He said..

If that means some don't understand the way it is done... so be it..

Whether we agree or disagree, support or do not support these types of people, it ultimately comes down to the same question we as christians should ask ourselves: where are we in our relationship with God and are we doing what He desire of us?

but we also gotta ask where our leaders line up with God and if their prophecies that they claim are in the name of God are true. so we dont submit ourselves under false prophets and teachers.
