Do you believe Benny Hinn loves God?

Jesus says if you love me, you'll keep my commandments. He sure doesn't show any sign of abiding in the word of God when he presents extra biblical revelations and teachings and claiming to have gotten them straight from the throne of God. 2 Peter 2 says that false teachers are all about making gain through whatever means. You can't say you sincerely love God yet you abuse his word, and fleece the flock with all the little schemes he uses to get people to donate money. I'm sorry, he is more of a hireling than a true, sincere servant of God.

None of us are perfect, no not one. We all make mistakes, be less than stellar witnesses for God, sin in ways that we may perceive as righteous.

Especially those in places of leadership should be prayed for, BIG TIME. They may stumble, for all the world to see. We shouldn't celebrate it.

We are not perfect, but the word of God is. This is why we are inexcusable when we misuse it and do not rightly divide it.

And if we use the fact that all of us are imperfect to suggest that because of that he should be free from scrutiny, then we also have no right to correct or discipline our children when they do wrong, as we are imperfect just as they are. Then there is the issue of choosing to ignore how scriptures to tell us to respond to those who pervert the word of God:

Romans 16: 17-18

Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Galatians 1: 8-10

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

2 Timothy 4:2-5

"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

1 John 4:1

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

2 John 1: 10-11

10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

Jude 1: 3-4

3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. 4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

He is man, and prone to all that man is prone to. All preachers and ministers are. NONE should be worshiped. Most of Benny Hinn's audiences don't worship "him", they worship and praise "God". I continue to pray for him. Those in leadership need prayers, desperately.

I believe that spiritual gifts through the Holy Spirit are real but that Benny Hinn is a false prophet using false miracles to deceive. He is exploiting spiritual gifts for profit and fame. There is countless people that were "healed" on stage and never got better. Benny hinn has so much wealth its not even funny its sick. There has been countless accusations of Benny wasting the donations and when he was demanded to show the spending records he never gave them he just flee'ed and pretended he was never asked.
Just so you know false miracles used to deceive are not of the Holy Spirit but of the enemy.

He was at my church last night and would have to say I have a new respect for the man. I did see people healed in the service but it is what he spoke on that really touched me about holiness and prayer. God does heal today and I've been healed of 13 diseases myself, not by him, but because I had to take responsibility for my sin and that there are blocks to healing especially when there is unforgiveness. I had a lot of unforgiveness and when I dealt with it I was healed greatly. God is good and these are just men following God and doing what God told them to do.

People! I would like to say! That Benny Hin is an evangelist!!! He is not for a church! He is for unsaved people! We are as a church aren`t supposed to go to Evangelists.. to get healed, we are need to go to teachers! Such as Kenneth Hagin, Norvel Hayes, Bosworth, Kenyon, Jerry Savelle, Fred Price etc. We don`t need to ask evangelists to pray for us, we need to seek the truth, and take authority over devils.. and sicknesses caused by them. We had been redeemed from sicknesses. Let God bless you! And Evangelists.. Benny is not teaching about healing..

Yet Bosworth is referenced in a book as having said that healing ministry can be one of the biggest open doors for evangelism.

Not defending Benny Hinn or anything, but F.F. Bosworth was an evangelist by heart.

I wanted to get some opinions about feelings about him as a person and his ministry. I have my own that I will share when the time is right, but I want to make sure that nobody cuts him to the bone. So let me hear it.

Hello Everyone, I do not intend to invade your house, I just wanted to respond to the OP who appears to have left the house. Semperfi psalm121 started this thread on June 22,2006.

The OP was correct in saying that Benny Hinn is a little off his rocker, a little weird, a little over zealousness. Lets be honest, are not we all just a little weird, off our rocker some and over zealous, sometimes? Yes, some more than others. The OP did not use the word "little" as I did, but that was his opinion. Yes, some say heretical things, and some teach heretical things at times. I really don't think they, (Hinn), or others do these things on purpose to "bilk" the saints, do they? We will never know. God will be judging their fruit if not already. They have to be very careful, but so do we in our judging of their activities. Saints, be careful, God will judge our activities also.

After reading many of your posts, I'm guessing most of you are all friends, young and old.

For those who are very critical, look in your mirror and take a good look at what God has to work with.

I have watched Benny Hinn many years. Don't watch him much now, I choose other "flavors," so to speak. I don't believe everything anyone says, even my favorites. At times, I would love to reach in the TV and slap some of them. Don't think I'm alone.

God is building an end-time army and we may have some rough times ahead regardless where our faith is. I say this in love. What army will you be in? We can be disagreeable but this thread is several years old. Looks like Bro. Hinn is still doing some of the same things he always does over the years. He still has problems and may have more coming, but he is still out there ministering, and God is still using him, and the not so perfect others. People are still getting saved, healed, delivered and debt free from these very same ministers preaching the word with signs and wonders following. Keep him and others in prayer as I know you are.

Don't forget the mirror! :D

Forgive me If you feel I am out of line. I hope that I haven't broken any forum rules here in my post. I'm going back home to my house, and your all welcome to come down and fellowship with us and say, hello to my family, and hopely we can come down and wave to you once in a while.

Harry, I like your post. Your statement above is on the mark. His ministry can be judge by it's fruit. Yes, Bennie seems to have resorted to the 'sensational' which bring him more attention and attracts people. He has traveled around the world doing what he does. If people are being healed, delivered and released from bondage then, God is using him.

I don't follow him or what he does nor do I pay much attention to this kind of feature on Christian news. I think he draws too much attention to himself and that certainly isn't my style. Lots of people belittle him and accuse him of a lot of things and it isn't my job to judge his ministry. There are many, many more that are having the same results without all the 'show' and weird stuff going on. And, all are doing so in Jesus' Name. Like Jesus said, "Forbid him not; for he that is not against us is for us" Luke 9:49-50. For me, that's the bottom line for Mr. Hinn. :amen:

Did you know that because you are a born again Christian, you have the same anointing that Benny Hinn has? The difference is that he knows it and uses it.

The truth is that Jesus is the only anointed One, but He has given every born again believer the authority to use His anointing to heal the sick and cast out demons. Mark 16:17,18 says that "These signs shall follow them that believer...they shall cast out demons...they shall lay hands on the sick and they will recover." This is not only for the Benny Hinns, but it is there for you!

The problem is that most believers think that only these prominent men are called and anointed to the healing ministry. If you read Scripture, you will see that there is nothing in the New Testament that refers to the Spirit choosing some special men to perform healing. God is no respecter of persons. He will heal any person who makes him or herself available.

What God has told me to do, is to lay hands on every person who comes across my path, who will accept my ministry, Christian or non-Christian. It is quite surprising that all the non-Christians I have offered prayer for have accepted.

I am about to take a two day conference on equipping ordinary church members to pray for sick people. Out of that conference, I am expecting a healing revival in that area!

So, get your eyes off people like Benny Hinn, and get before Christ and ask Him to lead you into your own healing ministry. I am sure that you will be blessed!
