Impossible.
And God can only give what a person can see...Most of these replies to this thread show me a God who can't finish what he started.
And the relevence of these verses is?Matthew 16:
25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
Good you accept that we are sinners and that we are saved through the saving work of Jesus. And then there comes a time to die and stop living for Him and allow Him to do the "living".
Impossible.
I agree
True . . . all these . . .as you said. But then . . .there is more in God than that. There is the saving from ourselves.
Found in our death and allowing Him to Live His Life in our bodies. . . .the perfect Live.
Here . . .being dead we find the perfect standard in Jesus. The standard which God has set. Himself.
Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Many people believe entering heaven is not possible until physical death as in 'after life'.And the relevence of these verses is?
Thank you for clarifing what you were trying to say. Many people believe entering heaven is not possible until physical death as in 'after life'.
Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven.Thank you for clarifing what you were trying to say.
For the majority of people that is correct, but what about those alive when Jesus comes again?
The bible talks about them being changed.
We didn’t earn it. Because we could not get 10 out of 10.
To only identify with how God in Christ identified with us, is likened (among other things) to a cake not turned.
Therefore my father loveth me, for I lay down my life, that I might pick it up again.

Amen brother . . .and there comes a time to lie down ours too . . .to be able to pick it up again.

Not only do we not get 10 out of 10, we score a pretty consistent 0 out of 10.
Jesus was able to sum up the entirety of God's Law as "Love the Lord your God ... and love your neighbor as yourself." Couldn't get much simpler right? And yet we fail on that point all the time too.
It's not even that we aren't perfect, it's that for all our struggling and striving we don't even get any of it right as we ought to.

He can only give us what we can see. It is all about perception from where we are in the process taking place within.Amen brother . . .and He can make us perfect if we believe.

QUESTION: What relevance do POSTS #31 + 32 + 34 have with the OP: Q1: "BEING PERFECT" ??
The spirit is strong, the body weak. The weak body will always have it's own desires separate from Gods will. And that battle will continue until physical death. The spirit given each of us is to save the soul, not the body.
