Then, back to my earlier question: Is there a space other than the Paradise and the Hell. According to what you said, the answer MUST BE yes. Do you agree? So in the future (past the end time), there are people in the Hell, in the Paradise, AND in between these two places.
Well, there are graves and the Heavens. I don't know if there is anything else besides them. The time after a person's death until the Day of Judgement is the period of al-Barzakh. We know the souls of martyrs are in green birds roaming Paradise and their cages hang from His Throne. We know that the Prophets, better than the martyrs, have their souls reunited with the best of companions. The souls of children also roam Paradise.
No one will enter Paradise with body & soul until the Hereafter begins. And they will not be anywhere else besides Paradise or Hell after they were brought to account.
What does your signature graph mean?
The picture? It's of a Palestinian woman (I think maybe Mother Palestine?) who is rising from the destruction of her city. I believe the white birds around her may symbolize the dead. She will not perish, no matter how many attempts are made to destroy her or beat her into submission. Each time she will rise again. I believe the artist (Imad Abu Shtayyah) named this painting "We Shall Return" and it was made last summer when Israel was pounding Gaza.
I think it's a nice symbolic picture of the entire Muslim nation, not just for Palestine.
What would happen on the "day of resurrection"? What would happen to:
1. Faithful people who are still alive?
2. Faithful people who are dead?
Everyone will have died by the Day of Judgement.
"Every soul will taste death. Then to Us will you be returned." (Surah al-'Ankabut 29:57)
As for what will happen to the righteous believers:
So as for he who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, "Here, read my record! Indeed, I was certain that I would be meeting my account." So he will be in a pleasant life - In an elevated garden, Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near. [They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you put forth in the days past." (Surah al-Haqqah 69:19-24)
So Allah will protect them from the evil of that Day and give them radiance and happiness And will reward them for what they patiently endured [with] a garden [in Paradise] and silk [garments]. (Surah al-Insaan 76:11-12)
There are many more, but I'll leave it here.
3. People who was before the Quran was written? (i.e. before Allah was known)
We believe Allaah has always been known among humans as Adam (peace be upon him) was a Muslim and a Prophet and all Prophets taught their people worship and obedience of Allaah. Allaah has sent many Prophets throughout time to teach the same thing.
"The scholars (may Allaah have mercy on them) differed concerning the people of the fatrah – who are those lived in the time when no Messenger came to them and were in a place where the call did not reach them – and those who come under the same rulings as them, such as the children of the mushrikeen. There are several points of view, the most correct of which is that they will be tested on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever obeys the command of Allaah will be saved and whoever disobeys Him will be doomed."
Testing in the Hereafter of those who lived in the intervals between two Prophets
And the record [of deeds] will be placed [open], and you will see the criminals fearful of that within it, and they will say, "Oh, woe to us! What is this book that leaves nothing small or great except that it has enumerated it?" And they will find what they did present [before them]. And your Lord does injustice to no one. (Surah al-Kahf 18:49)
But as for he who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, "Oh, I wish I had not been given my record And had not known what is my account. I wish my death had been the decisive one. My wealth has not availed me. Gone from me is my authority." [ Allah will say], "Seize him and shackle him. Then into Hellfire drive him. (Surah al-Haqqah 69:25-31)
Indeed, We have warned you of a near punishment on the Day when a man will observe what his hands have put forth and the disbeliever will say, "Oh, I wish that I were dust!" (Surah an-Naba 78:40)
The Day when man will remember that for which he strove, And Hellfire will be exposed for [all] those who see - So as for he who transgressed And preferred the life of the world, Then indeed, Hellfire will be [his] refuge. (Surah an-Nazi'at 79:35-39)
There are also more verses like these, but I'll leave it here.
They have not appraised Allah with true appraisal, while the earth entirely will be [within] His grip on the Day of Resurrection, and the heavens will be folded in His right hand. Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him. And the Horn will be blown, and whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth will fall dead except whom Allah wills. Then it will be blown again, and at once they will be standing, looking on. And the earth will shine with the light of its Lord, and the record [of deeds] will be placed, and the prophets and the witnesses will be brought, and it will be judged between them in truth, and they will not be wronged. (Surah az-Zumar 39:67)
When the earth is shaken with convulsion And the mountains are broken down, crumbling And become dust dispersing. (Surah al-Waqiah 56:4-6)
And the earth and the mountains are lifted and leveled with one blow - (Surah al-Haqqah 69:14)
There are more verses, but I think these should suffice for now.
6. Muhammad and other saints?
See above for what will happen to the righteous believers (the Prophets top the list of righteous believers)
They will obey the command of their Lord, whatever it is. At least one will blow the trumpet.
The Day that the Spirit and the angels will stand in rows, they will not speak except for one whom the Most Merciful permits, and he will say what is correct. (Surah an-Naba 78:38)
It is to Him that this Day belongs (He is the Owner of the Day of Judgement as we're told in the first chapter of the Qur'aan). He will present every individual's deeds to them and question His creation. He is Just and He is our ultimate Judge.
