I find the whole thing rather ironic at times. If one views in strictly in terms of right and wrong, then personal preference has not place. Maybe it's not about right and wrong. God chooses to work through many imperfect people and things. Icons that are consider "wrong" sometimes work mircles. If icons are just art, then there is no right and wrong. If icons are more than art, then let their fruit speak for them. When God something, sometimes it's best to not be too curious - St John Chrysostom
