I am reading the Bible but it's hard for me and I don't understand it. I end up getting frustrated trying to read it. I found audio Bible on Youtube and have been listening to it. Is this bad?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Go with what you get the most out of. On sites like www.biblegateway.com, you can read, using any of dozens of translations, while you listen.

"and hearing by the Word of YHWH" aka God.
Why just listen, though? There are great movies on YT that contain only the words of the Bible, like the Book of Matthew, The Book of John, The Book of Luke and Acts. I think the Book of John is the best, though it has Mary Magdellen showing up in places no woman would have been. Also they make false statements at the beginning about when the Bible was written. But it still is good because of the cinematography and music and acting.

I would echo the opinions of others - absolutely not! In college, I learned that everyone has different learning types. Some learn best through visuals, others through speech, and some through "doing." The important thing is to get the Word in your mind and heart. If an audio Bible works for you, than I would encourage you to use it. Also, just think of all those who are illiterate. Audio Bibles are invaluable tools for reaching such folks!

No its good, i mean some of us have failing eyesight so cant always read the small print.
What bible version are you trying to read? Sometimes its easier to listen than to read. Also I find it helps to pray as I read it and ask God for understanding.
