Jesus probablt existed is some capacity. That that person did everything in the gospels is much more a thing of faith.Let's face it.
If Jesus had never existed, would it be AD 2020 right now?
The Romans, when they lifted Him up on the Cross.Who is doing the lifting?
Then don't list three different objects of worship in a discussion about who the real God is.I will not fall for your traps.

Well they must have believed He did, as that is a doosey of a designation.Jesus probablt existed is some capacity. That that person did everything in the gospels is much more a thing of faith.

Also, there quite a few different calendars and years around the world. AD/BC is far from universal.I'm not convinced that Jesus did exist.
If there had been no Christianity, then of course there would be no year dating based on a Christian assumption (a crude estimate of the B'day of Jesus). Perhaps the year would be 2067 of the Roman Imperium. Who knows. Who cares. Maybe we'd call this the year 245.
That is not unique, look up other calendars.Well they must have believed He did, as that is a doosey of a designation.
Splitting and labeling time by the Messiah.
I know the fact most of or all of us do that's why I'm curious to hear the opposition's side of this.

Cool!
What year is it? and why?Indeed, the 245 in my post was the "Year of American Independence" calendar sometimes used (additionally) on US government legal documents.
Are you saying that science says that there was a time when there was nothing and that the universe "somehow" came from nothing?Science says the universe "somehow" created itself.

Then that leaves room even for science to discover that there is a Creator of some sort.To be clear science (cosmology and physics) say "we don't know" (yet).

Interesting... I was doing all the things one was supposed to do, catechism, confirmation, etc., anticipating the time when it would all slot into place, but it never happened, it just became more absurd (although I liked the drama and pageantry of the full-scale Latin mass). Most of my friends didn't believe, and I remember wondering how many pupils and teachers were pretending to believe just to fit in... When I got to university and met people of many religious backgrounds from around the world who'd had the same experience, then it all slotted into place! The categories are kind of fuzzy. Your experience doesn't seem all that different from mine, though if you'd asked me about my belief in the basic tenants of the Church I would have honest answered that I did believe, but somewhere in the next five years that ended. (Though I did believe in Santa Clause until I was about 10, so maybe I'm to gullible.) I accepted it as true and fulfilled my weekly and Lenten obligations, but otherwise thought very little about faith and religion. Perhaps things would have been different if I'd been forced to go to Catholic school (shudder). It's possible my rejection of the Church might have been earlier and more visible (my family still doesn't know). The largest doubts I had (before age 25) were from the pre-Confirmation contemplations.
