Ill awnser all youre questions.:)

Lemminglord im pretty firm on religon but there is still a possibility that Gods and goddesses are real.No im not on anything like that because one thing for one person isent going to work for everyone.Im pro choice.

The listener remember there is more than two choices to everything not just the two things you listed.Youre set in youre beliefe unlike i was but i am now. Like New_Found_faith are you trying to edge me towards god?

Ahumanistbloke it was through logic and history.I found this out in school in 5th grade. It was when we were studying about greece and rome there we were going over the gods zues ect ect. While my teacher was going over the different kinds of gods my class mates were talking out loud how stupid these people were believing about these gods.I thought that if they looked stupid now what would we look like in a thousand years. Common sense led me to believe there was no god and humans made it up.That also led me up to the story that i told you or was it iidb.

Lecretious if Betred Russel is an atheist book then my parents would know.I dont know how they ould react to my atheism but I have told my close friends though.I have read stuff from some authors over the internet and basicaly i dont have the money to buy a book.

I hope i awnsered all youre questions.^ _ ^

Occums razor: whats more plausible:

1) everything you see in all its intricate detail and beauty (refer back to my question) is all random and people made up God.
2) God really does exist and has reached down to us and nothing is random.

As far as Occam's razor goes, God is the ultimate unnecessary entity. There's nothing less parsimonious than an infinitely powerful being.

No that wasn't my answer to the question.

If you can't see the answer in my question then try again.

It's easy to keep a simplistic view of the world and say the former is more simpler but the more you open your eyes, the more you learn about things the more you see it's indeed more possible something is behind it all.

Just my humble opinion.

:groupray: :)

Oh, I see. You just dont know what "atheist" means.

(and your argument is a fallacy anyway)

Sure. You'll never see me actively attempting to convert someone else, but should something I say inspire you or "edge you towards God" then that's fine with me. :)

Of course not, you have just as much right to not believe in god as I do to believe in god.I just didn't understand how you explained how life began.

Science for me. Believing we came from a God seems impossible to me, just as believing evolution was the creation of life seems impossible to you.

I'm sure your grandmother loves you very much, and it distresses her to see you reject the Lord who bought you with His blood.

It really is sad when family won't accept your ideas just because they differ from theirs. I'm lucky to have an open-minded family about religion for the most part. The only ones that really don't like my beliefs live far enough away that I never see them. I am an athiest based on what I believe but agnostic because I'm open to any possiblities and opinions.

Thirteen is about the age I was when I questioned Christianity as well so I've probably been in your spot. When I was about 16 I actually started going to church with a couple friends and tried to be a Christian for about a year. That included the accepting Christ, praying, reading the Bible, and all that good stuff but it turned out I never really could believe in religion. As you continue to get older, just always keep an open mind about people's beliefs and learn about different religions. You may stumble upon something that may suit you better, and if not, it will help you have a better understanding of what you already do believe.

Can you create life?

What does that have to do with anything? I never claimed that people were made in a in a test tube. Saying I believe life was formed in a scientific way does not mean I believe people created life. Asking if I can create life in completely irrelevant to an argument between evolution vs creation which should stay out of this thread anyway.

The day science can create life will be the day you can lay claim that everything happened by itself.

Has science been able to bring to life anything? A cell, one measly simple cell using the "electrical impulses creating life" theory? One cell? Can we create and bring to life one cell?

We can say the same thing about God. We have no proof that God created life other than blind faith. I have never seen God create life....or God for that matter. When I see God create life from nothing, then you can lay claim that God created life.

Once again, this is not a creation vs evolution thread. If you want to continue this, do so in the part of the forum that is assigned to that.
