I guess now it is time for me to get out of the middle. I have been debating with myself lately on whether or not I agreed with the new changes on Christian Forums. And I think there should be a healthy medium between the two where there could be outreach as well as keep Christian Forums a "Christian" community.
It could be a "Mission Forum" where the main purpose is to evangelize the spiritually lost... I do believe there should be a place to grow in Christ-like character and build up believers spiritually still... and that does require Christian-only sections. Really a church is good to reach out to unbelievers, but the real purpose of a church is to worship and serve God, as a "Body of Christ." Is this forum a church? As a whole it is not. It is in integrated sections though that I have seen, and have started to actually go in more.
But I also would like to evangelize. I had an interview I had used for an evangelism tool, but I didn't realize it was considered spam to post it like 25 times all over CF.
As Christians, we should really reach out more, find new ways for outreach. Keep sections for both non-Christians and Christians, keep sections for just christians, but have ONE definition for Christian... for there can only be one truth and people really need to know the one truth that Christian Forums stand firm in.
Should non-believers be moderators? I think in some sections that wouldn't be bad. SparkleCat for one is awesome. I have been watching my kitty! For Christian-only sections though I think that only Christians should moderate there or the name wouldn't really mean much if the leaders were unbelievers themselves.
So, I think I am out of the middle now... I choose option 2. A Christian Community with an evangelical mission.
