Okay...*flexes typing fingers* your thoughts on the following question please, Jordan:

Will termites eventually take over the world?

Yes... because the world is made of wood. And thus, it weighs the same as a duck. And thus, it is... A WITCH!!! BURN IT!!!!!

Permission to answer, o esteemed one!!

Permission granted, o person who calls me o esteemed one!

*thinks for a while* Your process of reasoning is peculiar to say the least, o person who calls me o person who calls me o esteemed one...so does that mean that since I can easily lift my pet duck Boris, I could lift the world upon my quite hefty shoulders?

Nadro,
How come Louisville (and the entire commonwealth of Kentucky in general) is only known for its metal bands, when it has the capability of producing great groups like My Morning Jacket? Are there any other local bands worth mentioning?

Slint, my man, Slint! They're not around anymore, though. But I've heard VHS or Beta is very good, too.

Congrats on your 5000 post nadroj1985

why do we live ?

Because life is fun. :)

Considering Slint are from Louisville, why hadn't you bought Spiderland before now?

Probably because I have (approximately) 8270938570239875983457.342 other CDs on my list of music to buy, and sometimes I forget about something. It's hard liking so much music :(

Still 2346313.558 behind me :p

I think I'll start a "Don't bother asking theFijian any questions you may not like the answers to" thread.

Oooo.... hmmm.... Either "New Slang" or "Young Pilgrim"......... yeah "Young Pilgrim" is the best. NS is a close second, though.
On the subject of The Shins, I really like Kissing the Lipless.

Always remember Amy, you only get out of this life what you put into it.

*solemn nod*

What band(s) of the present time will be looked back upon 10 years from now as being important in influencing rock and/or roll?

Hmmm... assuming I've actually heard these bands, then these are my guesses: The Fiery Furnaces, Cat Power, The Decemberists, Deerhoof (maybe, I haven't heard much of these guys, but what I've heard is groundbreaking), Modest Mouse, does Phish count?, Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Sonic Youth (although they're already set), The White Stripes, Yo La Tengo (same as SY).

Yeah, that's a great one, too. I really don't think Chutes Too Narrow has a weak track on it.

Not a DC fan, so I'm not really sure. But I am pretty sure that it doesn't really matter. What something is generally considered to be is much less important than what you get out of it. :)
