I'm certainly not delighted by what I see in the mirror, but since I am extremely shy and introverted it doesn't bother me much. Only few people see me on a regular basis anyway.

Being very underweight doesn't make it better. I'm glad our hope is not in this life

I thought it would be interesting to make a thread asking if posters here are satisfied with their physical appearance. Do you need to lose/gain weight? Do you like what you see in the mirror? Are you balding? Dealing with aging?

Id like to have been at least 5 ft tall.
Like 160 cm even.

I haven't been happy with my appearance since High School . I got my jaw busted in a rough housing accident with my dad and two brothers. It was bad enough that I couldn't eat for several days because I couldn't open my mouth. When I complained about the pain my dad said "if you don't shut up I'll give you something to cry about". Which is dad speak for " shut up or you will get a beating "

I sucked it up and eventually it healed but not properly. My jaw slid back and now I have a really bad overbite and it is very slightly to one side. I saw an oral surgeon and this was back in the 80s, he said it would cost $4,000 or more to repair my jaw. since I don't have that kind of $$$ I simply have to live with it.

Now that I'm in my late 60s I do not care that much anymore tbh. My husband certainly doesn't care about it.

It's a difficult time of year to ask that question in the northern climes. Between dry air and lack of sunshine, skin/hair integrity goes downhill. Have hope, all. Walks in the spring sunshine should at least make you feel better, and likely look better as well.
Can I ask what motivated your question?

I asked him once after we'd been married a while

here I thought it was my personality, lol
was surprised by his answer because he had a super beautiful girlfriend before me & I didn't come close to her
however, I was super skinny so maybe that was it

I have large features on my face, big ears, eyes, nose, etc. It bothered me as a child but as an adult it was less and less something I gave thought to plus I think I have grown into them a bit more. Now at 42 I'm am comfortable with who I am and even given the opportunity I have no desire to change. I never really had a weight problem but that's not to say I don't have weight/fitness goals it's not a insecurity of mine and I'm happy in my skin.

I'm not complaining about my appearance and I wouldn't change anything about my facial features.

The sad years of low self esteem due to my weight are now behind me.

So for now, I can't wait to reach my desired hair length (hip length) + a little upgrade of my wardrobe and I should be fine.
