Pentecost is a harvest feast. No harvest has occurred. Pentecost is an unfulfilled feast at this time. When the harvest occurs.........pretrib..........Gentile.........then and only then will it be fulfilled.

True... I agree

But why does it have to be fulfilled.. And no other event can take place on that day again?

For instance... On Passover ...an event took place.. The angel of death Passover ... On Passover Jesus died ... Two events on the same feast

Can another event take place on Passover?.. I believe so

What about Pentecost ?... It's believed Enoch was raptured on that day...then ...the law was given that day.... And the last event to occur was the giving of the Holy Spirit

Same can be said of the other feast

An event does not have to be the total fulfillment of the feast

Romans 14 is NOT referring to fasting at all!!!

It refers to everything under the law including the food restrictions under the Law.

He addresses dietary and holy day laws, so this is the point...that the law has NO application...but if one has a conviction about what they eat or what day they worship...we are to respect that because Christ freed us from the law.

I don't have a problem if a believer feels they should keep the sabbath, just don't try to tell me I need to!

If you think you shouldn't eat shell fish that's ok...but I'm going to Red Lobster!

If you think you need to be a vegetarian...fine...just don't try to make me one...I like steak. burgers and chops.

This is the point...WE ARE FREE in these things!

14 Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things.
2 For one believes he may eat all things, but he who is weak eats only vegetables.

3 Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat, and let not him who does not eat judge him who eats; for God has received him.

4 Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.

5 One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. 6 He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord;[a] and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he who does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks. 7 For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. 8 For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. 9 For to this end Christ died and rose[b] and lived again, that He might be Lord of both the dead and the living. 10 But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.[c] 11 For it is written:

When read it its context it is very clear the issue is about fasting. The dietary laws are not even being debated here. The issue was about fasting on the feast days and about whether or not to eat meats sacrificed to idols, the same issue that is being covered in other books in regards to meats sacrificed to idols.

Well, the question was.....have the feasts been fulfilled. You said Passover, First Fruits and Pentecost were fulfilled. I agree that Passover and Firstfruits have been fulfilled.......but not Pentecost. The fulfillment of Pentecost will happen when the harvest happens...........as it is a harvest feast.

All Of the 7 feast days have been fulfilled, but they keep coming.

The first Passover looks to the second Passover, and the second Passover looks to the third Passover.

Jesus was born on the feast of Tabernacles.

But this was the second feast of Tabernacles, and the third Tabernacles is the promise we await in truly becoming one with God in an incorruptible body.

ALL THE WORLD WILL CELELEBRATE THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES OR BE PUNISHED.

The people who hate the feast of Tabernacles and hate the ways of Jesus will be standing there when night turns to day at the feast of Tabernacles when it happens and they tongues will melt in they head, and they eyes will melt in they head before they hit the ground.{This is what Zechariah 14 is insinuating}. That the people who fight against God's people and the cause of Jerusalem, the people who hate Jerusalem and fight against it's ways, they will be in trouble.

The coming of the Lord is as the rain, even the former and latter rains upon the Earth{Hosea}.

The first coming concerned the spring rains and the second coming concerns the fall rains.

Joel's promises of the rains are what we wait upon, the promise of the double portion of God to which men will walk the Earth like Gods, like the angel that stands before the Lord.

Jesus has 7 feast days, appointed days of visitation.

The last day is Shemini Atzereth, and this was the day Jesus was circumcised.

We wait on that promise of that last day of being exclusively invited to a party that few will attend.

The 7 feast days are not something up in the air that we do not know about, they are days that we truly do know about if we search who Jesus is.

Pentecost indeed happened when the Law was Given at mount Sinai, and Pentecost indeed happened at the first coming of Christ, and Pentecost will indeed happen again.

No...when read in context, it's about allowing saints their liberty in Christ, whether it be fasting or on what day one worships.

The point being made is we are NOT under law which demanded fasting and sabbath days, and festivals.

Now if that's not the point...why does the apostle say these things in Romans 14:
2 One person has faith that he may eat all things, but he who is weak eats vegetables only.

5 One person regards one day above another, another regards every day alike.

6 He who observes the day, observes it for the Lord, and he who eats, does so for the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who eats not, for the Lord he does not eat, and gives thanks to God.

20 Do not tear down the work of God for the sake of food. All things indeed are clean, but they are evil for the man who eats and gives offense.

This is about allowing other Christians their freedom in Christ and NOT offending them by what you do.

Therefore...if I know you think it's wrong to eat pork...I should not offend you by eating a ham sandwich.

They did not have two sets of holidays then Ebed.

We are not to judge somebody whether they do or don't keep the rules and all the Holy days of Jesus.

It wasn't about making a whole new set of appointed Holy days, it was about whether the convert kept EVERYTHING a Jew was doing.

If you put yourself in context with what was actually happening it's not hard to see a great debate whether or not Gentiles should do this or that.

But it was never meant that people should stop searching the truth in the Holy days of Christ.

WE shouldn't judge people if they want to go out camping with their family for 7 days in celebrating the feast of Jesus called the feast of Tabernacles.

So why do you judge me if I WANT to celebrate the Holy days of Jesus?

I don't judge you because you don't keep them.

I believe that the feast days are very prophetic and have been and will be fulfilled in Christ . Leviticus 23 is scripture about the feasts of The Lord . These feasts are called holy convocations or appointed times. The 1st 3 feasts have been fulfilled to the very day and all pertain to Christ :

1)Passover - speaks of our redemption when Christ died on the cross for our sins. 2) feast of unleaded bread - Christ was buried in a tomb , he was without sin - speaks of his body and burial which also happened on the very day of the feast that the Jews observed 3) first fruits- Christ was risen on this feast day. He rose on the 3rd day , the very day of the first fruits." But now Christ is risen from the dead , and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep" I cor 15:20.

I also believe that the last 4 feasts will be fulfilled in Christ . There is much speculation in many prophecy circles about which feast and event will be fulfilled at a certain time period in the future. I believe that they will be fulfilled in future prophetic events that deal with the second coming and the 1000 year reign of Christ . The last 4 feasts are Pentecost , feasts of trumpets, atonement and feast of tabernacles . All have been recognized by the Jewish people in the past . They will all have final fulfillment in the future in Christ , just like the first 3 feasts did in the past .

God gives us His word to teach us and show us what has happened and what will happen in the future. However, we should not set dates. For one thing, we really do not know the exact dates anyway. Although , God has His schedule and appointed times even though we may not know what they are.

The feasts of The Lord is a very deep study that can be very rewarding for the believer to learn about. I recommend a good resource book on the subject. " The Feasts of The Lord ", by Kevin Howard and Marvin Rosenthal . It is a very insightful book that mentions the history behind each feast, Jewish customs, harvest cycles and the prophetic side . These authors bring out a lot of scripture and show how it all goes together.

I never said there were two sets of Laws. You're missing the point Hannibal...which is in Christ we have liberty. Paul is speaking to the saints at Rome, so there are several pagan deities/religions, along with Judaizers too.

He is addressing the Law as well as pagan feast days. We know the Law is included because he says ALL FOODS ARE CLEAN, but also says no day is over another, and if one fasts, they do so to the Lord.

I hold that Jesus fulfilled every feast the Law required.

I see no place where Paul addresses Pagan feast days, why would he?

Those first Pagan converts gave up everything they believed.

They were tested more than any other Christians were ever tested after that time, they were tested to death.

They were tested so hard and for so long that in the end, the whole worship system changed.

An entirely different set of holidays were instituted because the persecution and hatred for Jews was horrendous.

Gentiles being persecuted to death because they kept the Passover like the Jews kept.

Gentiles receiving the Jewish Tax after the Roman war, they received this terrible taxation if it was found that they wouldn't stop keeping the Passover and Holy days of God.

The first Christians had nothing to do with Pagan holidays, but by 135, a big split was enforced and the Greek Orthodox agreed to keep the Saturnalia and because of this, Hadrian gave them rule over the synagogues when Jew and Gentile alike were being persecuted by Gentile Christians enforcing the abandonment of Jewish Holy days.

By 325, we see Constantine finally writing into law that no person should be caught keeping the evil holy days of God.

Well obviously you must have never read the book of Acts...it's loaded with Paul dealing with pagan deities...why they even thought Paul and Barnabus where gods.
Those first Pagan converts gave up everything they believed.
So why is Paul discussing meats offered to idols in 1 Corinthians 8? Do more reading of the scriptures and reflect on the times of the writers.

Hannibal...you're rambling. I'll just say again Christ fulfilled all the feasts.

Whatever other point you're trying to make has nothing to do with what I said.

Can you provide proof of this??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Indeed ...John 1:14:
14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Now...whether Jesus was born on the Feast of Tabernacles, I'm not sure...but He was God dwelling with men, which is what the feast is all about...and that's how Jesus fulfilled it.

He is the fulfillment of EVERY feast, or else how could He fulfill the Law for us? On the cross He said "it is finished"...and that means He kept the Law perfectly and became the Passover Lamb!

Of course.

But who would I prove it to?

I say that Jesus has 7 days appointed to him.

I say that Jesus had to die on Passover.

He could have died on no other day because the entire day teaches of him. All the rituals and traditions and everything about Passover teaches about a Messiah coming to die on a particular day.

Please continue with the other 6 days appointed to Jesus and tell me what those days were appointed for Jesus to do.

Nisan 17, Jesus was appointed to be born, and so his birthday is also appointed for this day, the day he was resurrected. Everything about this day, again, teaches about what Jesus came to do on this exact day.

What does Jesus come to do on Shemini Atzereth?

I'm sure everyone will agree about Passover, Unleavened bread, firstfruits, Pentecost. All these days pointed to something Jesus comes to do, and all it's traditions and rituals point to what he must fulfill on these particular days.

What does Jesus come to do on Sukkot?

Go.

7 feast days that point to missions of Jesus.

Let's look at Shemini Atzereth.

You tell me the rituals and things that happen on this day, and tell us the promise of Shemini Atzereth.

Tell us how Jesus has fulfilled it, tell us exactly what it pointed to and it's fulfillment.

Go ahead.

Do you know all the names of the 7 days and what is prayed, what it's traditions teach?

I can show you Jesus being the Sukkot Bull on Nisan 17, can you?

People say that Jesus fulfilled all the sacrifices but can you actually prove this to me?

I can show you Jesus fulfilling Yom Kippor on Nisan 14, can you?

I can show Jesus fulfilling Pentecost on Nisan 14, can you?

If we say that all the 7 days have been fulfilled, then we must be able to prove what we say.

The proof is there, but who will I tell the truth to?

If you don't know what happens on these days, and you don't know what the promises are on these days, how will you understand?

What does Atzereth Shemini point to?

What are it's promises they we are waiting for?

Are you not waiting for it's promise?

Who am I speaking to?

If you have never been up to the season of our Joy and seen what happens on it['s most wonderful day, prayed it's prayers, and hoped in it's promises, then how do wait upon it's promise?

And how in the world would I explain anything to a person who is not even able to name the 7 feast days of Christ, mush less recite it's prayers and functions to understand it's promises?

Now I would certainly prove that Jesus was born on the 5th of Tishri, but who would I prove it to?

Bring a Jew with you, and he will at least know what I speak of.

But how will I speak of things that the hearer knows nothing of?

How will you attend a party if you don't even know that there is a party and a gift?

How will you attend Shemini Atzereth if you don't even know Sukkot?

You will certainly not obtain the promise of Shemin Atzereth if you don't know anything about it, and if you know nothing of Sukkot?

Who will I teach about the birth of Jesus?

But yes, I can prove the missions of my Lord.

Who will hear?

Those that have never heard of the days?

They will not hear.

I walk up to a Jew who doesn't believe in Jesus and say,'' Jesus fulfilled all the sacrifices.''

The Jew says,'' What?''

So I tell him of Jesus being the Passover lamb, I use all his traditions to show that Jesus was meant to fulfill these things on Nisan 14.

So the Jew says,'' Meh.''

The Jew says, how did your Jesus fulfill the Yom Kippor sacrifice on Nisan 14?

So I explain using HIS traditions and I show Barabas being set free, just as the other goat is set free, and I say,'' See, the yom Kippor tradition and sacrifice on Nisan 14.''

Then I show him the scriptures of Ezekiel showing that Yom Kippor would certainly be fulfilled on Nisan 14.

The Jew looks at me and says, '' I don't believe it, but what about all the other sacrifices?"'

So I begin to show the 7 Holy days of Christ explaining how Jesus became these things.

These are things the Christian should strive to learn, if you say your Messiah fulfilled all the sacrifices, then you should be able and willing to show how Jesus did indeed fulfill these days.

But we still wait on the promises of these days, what has happened so far are just shadows of things to come as we are told.

Two goats are brought up for the Yom Kippor, one is set free, and the other is killed for a sin offering.

Barrabas being set free show Yom Kippor, but this was just a shadow of things to come.

Rosh Hashanah is a terrifying day, it is the feast of trumpets, and has many other names.

It is the day of the Lord.

Wassup dude?

I was thinking about what you said to me, and I'm gonna get back with you. Thanks for saying ,'' Hi''

Hey!

Or shadows of things to come?
…16Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day-- 17things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ

…16Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day-- 17things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ
What does it matter Hannibal...that passage in Colossians says the SUBSTANCE BELONGS TO CHRIST!!!

THE LORD JESUS is the "REAL STUFF" the feasts, sabbath days and holy days pointed to...Colossians 2:16-19
16 Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day—
17 things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.
18 Let no one keep defrauding you of your prize by delighting in self-abasement and the worship of the angels, taking his stand on visions he has seen, inflated without cause by his fleshly mind,
19 and not holding fast to the head, from whom the entire body, being supplied and held together by the joints and ligaments, grows with a growth which is from God.

Are you hearing that???
