Based on years of observation, listening to Christians continuously argue and debate with each other over practically anything under the sun pertaining to Christianity.
So it wasn't because of what someone told you to believe.

So we need to pop along and pay God a visit to believe any truth?
Don't know what you mean by this either ... "pop along and pay God a visit".

I don't believe I was addressing "ANY and all truth" in what I've said. I said if you want to know what God said or didn't say, and what God meant or didn't mean by what God said ... it would seem to me that to cut through the confusion, the what-if's, the hearsay, etc ... you seek clarification with God directly.

ETA: I just started this convo, but I'm on my way out the door ... will be back later ...

Their Christianity is not like ours because they have a different Jesus. That's a very significant difference.

We believe in the Jesus who was born of Mary in Bethlehem, lived 33 years and died on the Cross. If this is not the Jesus you believe in then who is your Jesus?

Do you believe in Heavenly Mother?

Does this Jesus have any notable brothers, maybe slightly dubious in character?

Your Jesus is Satan's brother. Not the same Jesus.

Good point, Red Fox. Those of you who say that JWs and Mormons aren't Christians, do you regard Catholics as Christians? Where does the line go between Christians and non-Christians?
Orthodox Christians agree on more than they disagree on. In other words, there's a pale of orthodoxy.

Since we are all children of our Heavenly Father, we are all brothers (and sisters) of each other. Since Jesus is the son of God, he is our brother.

Where is it written that Traditional Christianity is true? We are clearly not part of Traditional Christianity but that does not make us wrong. You have yet to definite Christianity and provide scriptural backing to your definition.
What you don't seem to understand is that Christian Forums is a site created by Traditional Christians for Traditional Christians.
The people who own and maintain the site have the right to make whatever rules they choose, and they chose to limit Mormons and JWs as to where they may post within their site.
The fact is, they don't have to let you post on their site at all...however, they are big hearted and kind enough to allow you to post in non-Christian areas.

Okay, does this mean that you regard Catholics as Orthodox Christians?

If I understand you correctly Catholics are Christians even if they “venerate” Mary and various saints, but Mormons believing in a “Heavenly Mother” are not?

I personally have no difficulty calling Catholics “Christians”, but from a protestant point of view I fail to see the fundamental difference between a denomination such as the RCC and the LDS.

RDKatz, well said. I wish I had heard this more often over the years.

Heresy? You can hear that all of time.

Christians being the children of God, Jesus being the son of God, and how Christians are all brothers and sisters in Christ is now heresy? That's news to me.
