elves are norse mythology and pagan in nature. The church is full of pagan themes; look at the obelisk steeple. We can use this mythology to glorify God or we can use it reject him.... the fruit reveals its source.

Yes, people do take it as amusing as they are fictional. As most things fiction, they can be inspired by something "evil", but that does not mean that they are evil in and of themselves. In fact, as I think we have proven, they are generally inspired by "good".

Most elves that I've met have been Christian, but I think it's Santa Claus who is converting them and they were probably raised Jewish. Hobbits, on the other hand, are Buddhists. Dwarves are Amish, hence the facial hair on Grumpy, Sneezy and Doc. Alladin and his genie are Muslim.
Why? Have you met any elves and discussed religion with them?
