Thanks lolI was just being silly. All you did was answer a question lol... Somehow that offended someone. I got your back
I dont get offended easily so you dont have to worry about that. The OP said he had kid friendly items....I didnt link that to his childrens toys. I personally dont see anything wrong with Dragons, but i also dont see anything wrong with others feeling that their IS something wrong with it.Im sorry if I offended anyone and I certainly didnt mean to try to appear more holy. I was just giving a friendly piece of advice, because thats what the OP asked for. My mother threw away my coin collecrion when I was little because she thought it was cursed by a witch. It may be a small thing now, but I still remember that it hurt. I dont want somebody else to go through that experience.
Thank you, I appreciate it.I dont get offended easily so you dont have to worry about that. The OP said he had kid friendly items....I didnt link that to his childrens toys. My point was that this is not that big of a deal....He feels the dragons are staring at him funny.......remove them. If He thinks they are cute.....leave them.. I dont understand the need of religious advice.
Your opinions are heard and respected.....and you should continue to give it if you desire to.
Actually, that is the Rod of Asclepius. It was the symbol of the ancient cult of this god of healing, which was related to snakes. The Hipoocratic Oath starts: "By Apollo the Healer and Asclepius..."
It may be derived from the treatment of the parasitic worm Dracunculus Medenensis, which entailed dragging it out of the subcutaneous tissue by means of a stick. Alternately, it may have simply been derived from Asclepius' association with snakes, who were present in his sanctuaries and said to aid in healing.
Regardless, this medical symbol is derived from the Greco-Roman medical tradition and is of pagan origin. It predates the Christianisation of the Empire, and likely was strengthened and survived due to the erroneous connection to the Biblical Brazen Serpent Nehusthan.
Incidentally, especcially in the US, some medical organisations use a double snake over a staff with wings. This is the Caduceus, and is a symbol of Hermes. This is actually a symbol of Merchants and was mistakenly applied to the US army medical corps in 1902 by an uneducated top brass officer, to the chagrin and embarrassment of many, subsequently spreading to civilian usage. It is profoundly inappropriate, as Hermes was related to making money and was a psychopomp, taking the dead to Hades.
I do not think God would compare our adversary to a fictional creature. God is not the author of confusion. There is nothing more satan would like to do than to get you to believe in the fact that he was fictional himself. Believing that he is compared to a fictional creature is just one step in that direction. People need to realize that the Bible refers to dragons as a real animal.
...
My guess is that we're conflating two or three thoughts here:
1. What is referred to in our bible as "Dragons" is more than likely a carryover from King James era English. A "dragon" may well be a large lizard, just as you have the Kimodo Dragon lizard in the Far East that is quite real, and quite large.
2. The whole "fire breathing" thing that we associate with the word "dragon" comes from folklore and mythology. I think we can all enjoy a Godzilla movie without fear.
3. The problem comes when we combine the two thoughts. Ken Ham addresses this point very well:
Dragons: Fact or Fable?
Dragons are summoned by invoking the dragon spirit which is an elemental creature in order to harness spiritual power and personal transformation. It is paganism which is associated with witchcraft and mysticism. Witchcraft is the devils tool and favoured mode of operation to manipulate and harm/destroy Christians, and symbology in mysticism is also used in witchcraft. In " Corinthians 10:5 we are told to cast down ''oppose and be rid of'' every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and in Proverbs 3:5-6 we are told to completely trust God and not our own understanding and in all ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path and in Ephesians 6:10 we are to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Also the 2nd of the 10 commandments says you are not to make yourself any graven image which is essentially an idol. So to have even a toy or statue or anything like that resembling a dragon ''in this instance'' is an invite for unclean-spirits to investigate you further and nobody should want that and believe it or not such symbolic creatures are associated with the devil and he is a total legalist and he'll use anything to get a foothold in a persons life- even an innocent or kid-friendly toy dragon because God associates the dragon with the devil in scripture and so does the devil and you should not want to possess anything that the devil is directly related to or recognizes as himself. P.s, please be kind to me if you don't agree and any scripture that is able to enlighten or correct me is most welcome, thanks.Im just wondering if this is true, cause I have some kid-friendly dragon material in my household.
I have known some women who looked like dragons, but I wouldn't say they were anything to do with Satan!Im just wondering if this is true, cause I have some kid-friendly dragon material in my household.

Not any more.
Dragons and unicorns battled each other to the death.
