As much as I dont want to admit it, it is probably true.

Espesially games like World of Warcraft and Morrowind, where the world just draws you in. While I try to keep the playing down, there are days where I get too into it and all of a sudden its 3am in the morning. I tend to go for games that are long and where there are tons of things to explore and that creates a sense of awe. Linear games aren't as bad because once your done with the game its all done and over, but the non-linear ones like Fallout 2, WOW and Morrowind are much more addictive in my mind because even if u beat it theres still alot more to explore

Hmm. I like to think I've ganked you, and camped you. Repeatedly.

Anything can be addictive, including socializing.

Fighter pilot comes to mind. Or maybe video games will encourage a career in computer programming, and maybe even programming video games.

But why do they have to just be a means to an end? Games are fun, that that is worth something in itself. Fun is a need in life.

eudaimonia,

Mark
Take me for example.

I was a big StarCraft geek. I eventually started a website/league dedicated to it, which lead to a career in programming. Though, I was pretty anti-social. You just have to sit down one day and decide whether or not you want to make a change in your life and go for it. There's nothing wrong with fun, just don't let the online socializing replace real socializing and real fun (or at least what you're "supposed" to do for fun at a given age).

Ah well. Different server. I'm sure we'll meet in a BG one day or in arena because I think we may be on the same battlegroup. My mage is an UD female named Dollparts (awesome UD name imo). I'll look forward to seeing you in the battlefield! ;)
