Please don't take this the wrong way but don't Catholics only allow men to be priests? Sorry if I used the wrong title. Surely you agree with me?

Yes they do. Just like all the Apostles were all men. I assume you understand that?

Can I make a suggestion that we don't turn this into a debate about what women can and can't do? That never goes anywhere as neither side is ever going to convince the other.

The wordly person in me love women with tattoo sleeves but the Christian me does not care for them.
I have lots of tattoos and i got them before becoming a Christian. As a Christian i will not get anymore unless it is to cover up an old ugly one with a better one but the Bible tells us to not mark up our bodies as the heathens do so i choose no tatts.

why don't you show some respect to your fellow Christian?

Why don't you show some respect for women and respect their capacity to exist outside the confines of the home?

You've imagined my thoughts and you've imagined me to be someone I am not. You're the one being prejudiced.

I think some men are under the delusion and long for the good ol days of June Cleaver and Donna Reed doing their part around the home.

No but I do long for the days where men would speak to other men directly

@Aspzan

There is such thing as biblical headship and things each gender is to bring uniquely to both the church and the home. But you are going beyond that concept and are into the realms of misogyny and hatred. Women are equal to men, they are not lesser. You showed your colors pretty clear when you said you "don't care what any women have to say".

I browsed your old posts and you're a new Christian it appears, and that's the only reason I'm even responding. Learn how to treat humans, God's children, sisters in Christ (not lesser beings), with respect... or have fun remaining single.

And good luck raising a healthy family under one paycheck. Read Proverbs 31... the woman there worked outside of her home, diligently I might add, and the husband trusted in her and depended on what she brought to the home.

I don't hate women one bit. I am always respectful to people on this website I wish people showed me the same level of respect I show them. When I said I don't care what women think I meant I don't care in the sense I don't care just because they are women. it was pretty obvious what I meant. Yes, women are equal to men. They do not have the same roles always in life.

I won't remain single hopefully and I will say to any woman who I would marry clearly that I expect her to look after our children and teach them which is a very important role, vital even. Otherwise I'm not marrying them and I will remain single. It's odd because to me, both you and another poster who I forget the name of have treated women like some sort of acquirement you get in life rather than a person and a friend. Do please continue to browse my posts and tell me where I haven't been respectful? Maybe once to a muslim man who I actually messaged non confrontationally and apologised.

I also suggest analysing how I was treated on this thread. Do you condone of everyone elses behaviour? Or is it just my view which I take from Titus 2:5 that you have an issue with?

These two things contradict each other in major ways.

And now you put words and concepts in my mouth and speak lies.

At first I had sympathy for you, now I couldn't care less how you're treated.

Cheers.

I mean that just because someone is a woman I won't hold her thoughts or opinions in high regard just because she happens to be a woman. It doesn't contradict? I'm essentially treating everyone equally when it comes to opinions and how I should feel about them
