Here is a loaded question. Blessed is a present tense verb, an action not a noun, a state of being in the following verse. Is there a difference between being blessed and are blessed?

Here is a loaded question. Blessed is a present tense verb, an action not a noun, a state of being in the following verse. Is there a difference between being blessed and are blessed?

If a person is remaining faithful, he is being blessed. If we look at the Mounce Greek, it shows this:

Gal: 3:9 So then, those who believe are blessed along with Abraham, the believer.

To believe in Jesus Christ means to obey him. If a Christian stops obeying Jesus (his commandments), he is no longer a faithful believer. He, therefore, is no longer blessed. If he repents and confesses his sins, God will forgive him, and he will once again be a faithful believer and blessed along with Abraham. Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9, Matthew 3:8

If he is still a blessed believer (obedient/faithful)) at the time of his death, he will then be approved to enter eternal life. John 5:28-30, Revelation 2:10

IF we are crucified with Christ and we are dead but alive, yet not us, but Christ Jesus lives in us and the Life we now live in the flesh, we live by the FAITH OF the Son of God who gave Himself for us. Then we live by the hearing of THIS Faith. And By this Listening, hearkening unto this Faith we receive the Spirit and He works power, HIS Power IN us. EVEN AS Abraham BELIEVED BY THE GOD or to the GOD and it was accounted unto him as righteousness.

NCB 8-9 Because Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, it declared the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you all the nations will be blessed.” 9 For this reason, those who have faith share the blessing with Abraham, the faithful one.

It seems to me that because Abraham first believed by faith before he was circumcised, he became the spiritual father (in him) of all people who believe, whether they be circumcised or uncircumcised. So all people who believe will share salvation with Abraham.

If we are truly crucified with Christ, we will strive to reject sin in all its forms. We are able to do this when we obey the Holy Spirit's promptings to flee from all temptations to sin. James 4:7
