Where does it say the law of Moses in these verses? The Ten Commandments are definitely a part of the Law of Moses.
This is specifically shown to us in Romans. "You shall not covet," is the Tenth Commandment, and Paul includes it in the Law of Moses.
Paul knew the differenceRomans 7:7-8 "What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? May it never be! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, "You shall not covet." But sin, taking opportunity through the commandment, produced in me coveting of every kind; for apart from the Law sin is dead."
1 Corinthians 9:9
For it is written in the law of Moses, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain.” Is it oxen God is concerned about?
It does not say this. These are your words, not God’s. Also the Catholic version is not what the original Text says. The Sabbath commandment was not “contained in ordinances” Deut 4:13 this was what was written in the law of Moses set outside the ark of the covenant as a witness against Deut 31:24-26Ephesians 2:15 he (the Lord of the Sabbath) has abolished the Law with its commandments and ordinances, so that he might create in himself a single new person out of the two, thereby making peace, Mark 2:28
Jesus, the Lord of the Sabbath, abolished the Sabbath Laws.
New King James Version
having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace,
New American Standard Bible
by abolishing in His flesh the hostility, which is the Law composed of commandments expressed in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two one new person, in this way establishing peace;
NASB 1995
by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace,
NASB 1977
by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace,
A Christian means being a follower of Christ. Jesus kept the Sabbath, the Holy Day of the Lord Isa 58:13 Luke 4:16 John 15:10 and is our example to follow. 1 John 2:6 1 Peter 2:21-22I am a Christian, therefore I worship on Sunday, the Lord's Day,
No Scripture says this.which is what he taught his followers to do before he ascended into heaven.
No Scripture says thisWe've known this and practiced this command of Jesus for about 2000 years in the Catholic and Orthodox Churches.
I do not follow man-made doctrine over God’s Word. This following historical document also shows us that the Church has worshiped God on Sundays since Jesus' resurrection from the dead.
Justin Martyr FIRST APOLOGY, circa 153-155 A.D., CHAPTER LXVII -- WEEKLY WORSHIP OF THE CHRISTIANS. And we afterwards continually remind each other of these things. And the wealthy among us help the needy; and we always keep together; and for all things wherewith we are supplied, we bless the Maker of all through His Son Jesus Christ, and through the Holy Ghost. And on the day called Sunday, all who live in cities or in the country gather together to one place, and the memoirs of the apostles or the writings of the prophets are read, as long as time permits; then, when the reader has ceased, the president verbally instructs, and exhorts to the imitation of these good things. Then we all rise together and pray, and, as we before said, when our prayer is ended, bread and wine and water are brought, and the president in like manner offers prayers and thanksgivings, according to his ability, and the people assent, saying Amen; and there is a distribution to each, and a participation of that over which thanks have been given, and to those who are absent a portion is sent by the deacons. And they who are well to do, and willing, give what each thinks fit; and what is collected is deposited with the president, who succours the orphans and widows and those who, through sickness or any other cause, are in want, and those who are in bonds and the strangers sojourning among us, and in a word takes care of all who are in need. But Sunday is the day on which we all hold our common assembly, because it is the first day on which God, having wrought a change in the darkness and matter, made the world; and Jesus Christ our Saviour on the same day rose from the dead. For He was crucified on the day before that of Saturn (Saturday); and on the day after that of Saturn, which is the day of the Sun, having appeared to His apostles and disciples, He (Jesus) taught them these things,
