G-d is the source of life and He placed life directly into man.

The life-giving breath is mentioned in the Gospel of John when the Lord Jesus imparts new life to the disciples

Did you know that a person breathes in and out between 10,000 and 20,000 liters of air every day?

And a fifth of that is oxygen.

If the brain does not get enough oxygen, it can no longer work properly. And as a result, breathing can be disturbed and even stop altogether. This makes it clear how important breathing is for the body. It is the only way a person can get enough oxygen.

In an emergency, a person can go without food for weeks and without liquids (water) for at least three days. But without air, a person can only survive for a few minutes.

It is the oxygen contained in the air we breathe that is vital for our bodies.
