If we assume that G-d is good or glorious, then the heavens must be just as glorious. And they are. In most translations of the Bible, the first sentence of the Bible reads:
In the beginning G-d created the heaven and the earth. Gen 1:1
The Hebrew word for heaven is shamayim, and the word for the heavens is
hashamayim
השמים

And G-d looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And G-d said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
