• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

My son has Adhd and Bipolar he takes concerta, seroquil, and Depakote.
I know that with stimulants it can cause/ intensify mania, also OCD symptoms.
I was Dx: Adhd as well however do not take medication for it because I have such a rapid heart rate and it amplified my anxiety.Hope this helps, are you being treated for this as well?

well... I was just recentely diagnosed and figuring out what meds work for me... I was on prozac but that made me have bad anxiety attacks so they took me off... I am now on risperdal but I sometimes get numbness in my legs.... I go back next week to discuss how the meds are working... I really just want something to calm me down though... I pray that God will heal me...

I and my daughter are ADD. I was given welbutrin to help with mine, my daughter was tried on quite a few diff. meds. They worked but we suffered with the side effects from them. Now she is taking a nutritional supplement (a shake) in the mornings and that is helping her tremendously and no longer suffers with the headaches, sleeplessness, bellyaches, lack of appetite anymore.
