CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The immediate context of the discussion starts with a book--J.Frame's Contemporary Worship Music: A Biblical Defense. and how it was received in the conservative Presbyterian/reformed churches.
I can read long essays like the one i linked to in the OP, but i don't know what is going on in churches or discussions in various presbyteries to understand what people think about the book. This essay words things really strongly and i wonder how many people think this way. I can see changes in J.Frame's professional life- he's PCA and at RTS-FL but don't know if these issues caused the changes. That is why i posted here, in hopes that someone is personally familiar with what happened.....

Oh gee, I don't know. I thought you were just asking if people were broadly aware of the Reformed debate over worship/regulative principle, not the specifics of Frame's situation. it's funny, the web makes it possible to learn a lot, but there is still a gap if you don't interact with the issues with people. so i guess that is what i am lacking, insight into the personal side of the discussion that essays like this can only hint at.....
