By using the word "creationist", I specifically meant those who believe in the special creation via Genesis 1, regardless of OEC or YEC affliation.

Do you care to answer my questions from post #219? I'm waiting to learn.

I would like clarification, please, on what you meant by "creationists".

And I would like clarification on what exactly you meant by implying that talking like an evolutionist is somehow counter to the song your purposefully quoted.

He already told you in post 216:

"By using the word "creationist", I specifically meant those who believe in the special creation via Genesis 1, regardless of OEC or YEC affliation."

I am neither --- I'm an eclectic blend of the two.

And you don't understand it enough to criticize those who do believe it.

And since I'm such a nice guy, I'll give you the benefit of a doubt and assume you weren't talking about us.
Do you care to answer my questions from post #219?
Are you kidding me? I'm not touching that with a ten-foot touchdown pass.

Because the way in which you would have to answer it according to creationism requires you to utilize multiple logical fallacies, and said fallacies would be even more obvious then usual.

Wrong. If you believe the earth was created <10,000 years ago, you are a YEC no matter what age was "embedded" into the earth.

And you don't understand it enough to criticize those who do believe it.

"Embedded age" is the premise that the earth was created 6100 years ago 4.5 billion years old. Thought the earth is physically 4.5 billion years old, there is no history older than 6100 years. This claim is based on the fact that scientific research has established the age of the earth and is attempting to correlate scripture with science.
Is there anything I forgot about it? Or are you still going to claim I don't understand it?

And since I'm such a nice guy, I'll give you the benefit of a doubt and assume you weren't talking about us.

I was.

Are you kidding me? I'm not touching that with a ten-foot touchdown pass.

Because you can't answer it. You claimed God inspired you to "embedded age", yet he seemed to leave out some major details. I'm here to learn about embedded age. I've asked honest questions which are based on what seems to be horrible gaps in your idea. I would like to hear your explanations for this evidence that contradicts "no history older than 6100 years".

Like he even understands what "special creation" is.

I think he does, but he doesn't need to understand what it is if he's just making general observations about people who do understand it (or at least claim that they do) and believe in it.

Yes, I know.

Like he even understands what "special creation" is.

Really? You are talking to a guy who grew up reading the Bible almost every day from the age of 10. You are talking to a guy who spent almost every waking moment in church. You are talking to a guy who helped with AWANA's, helped with VBS, and even helped with the youth group. I was raised Presbyterian then my parents started going to Southern Baptist while I was in 7th grade. I didn't become an agnostic untill around 4 years ago and I have only been an atheist for two years. I know my way around the Bible, and it is my biggest and best weapon against God.

Forget it, BananaSlug -- nothing can ever convince AV that there are people who know the Bible better than he does.

And Evolution is the change in alleles in a population over time.

Is there anything I forgot about it? Or will you take my word for it that I don't understand it?

Anyone can parrot an explanation; not everyone can understand it, though.

Sounds to me like you let yourself become a victim of a well-known parable --- the Parable of the Sower.

How much brains does it take to learn Genesis 1?

How much faith does it take to agree with it?

And Evolution is the change in alleles in a population over time.

That is the gist of it. The Theory of Evolution is much more complex than that however.

Is there anything I forgot about it? Or will you take my word for it that I don't understand it?

You forgot to mention allopatric, sympatric, parapatric, and peripatric speciation. You didn't mention sexual selection, genetic drift, gene flow, founder effect, transitional fossils, endogenous retroviruses, redundant pseudogenes, atavisms, or any other of the evidences and observations that are a part of evolutionary theory.

Anyone can parrot an explanation; not everyone can understand it, though.

And based on your inability to answer my questions that would seem foundational to "embedded age", I doubt even you understand its implications.

So, you are now including TE's in with "Creationists?" Does this mean you no longer have a problem differentiating between TE's and atheists, like you claimed you did just recently?

How about answering my question, AVET? Have you figured out a way to differentiate between TEs and atheists yet? Or are you just going to continue changing your "story" whenever you think new rhetoric suits yourt purpose?
